For advice on how to shop at your local store please do a search in Hermes Shopping sub-forum and look for your store/region/country.

The local Hermes website and store are in league to block me from buying non-quota bags but the store will happily sell or offer me other items including a quota bag which none of their clientele wants (has a discreet mark on it).

That or buying bots are crawling around it, desperate to try out multiple payment methods.

Added a picotin, got to paying x 5 = kicked out via website error. Store claims no stock.
Added a Herbag, got to paying x 2 = kicked out - website error. Store claims no stock.
Added a 24/24 , got to paying x 1 = see above.

Umpteen times - item shows for one second after refresh, click and suddenly, not available.

Sometimes if you a concentrating on filming or photographing you do not get the full pleasure of the moment.
So not having your camera or not being allowed to film can really work in your favour.
I wish this was the case for me, but my short term memory is like a goldfish! If I get excited in the moment I almost blackout :-/

This is literally everyone’s experience with the website. It’s not personal. The store and website are not connected in any way so one showing stock has no bearing on the stock of the other.

I don’t know. The store said no stocks but when they invited me up to look at a QB, they were pulling out three non-QBs for the another customer to pick one or reject.

That one wanted a QB like mine - pointing to the bag shown to me. Me - vice versa. Wanted a non-QB on her table, and got a QB offer which I wasn’t interested in (no point getting a similar colour in a similar hardware). I was pointing to hers. Lmao. Both of us were refused by our respective SAs.

I don’t know about her but I know I didn’t do a request for any bag.

Just realized that my suggestion could be perceived as attempting to ingratiate or put a perceived obligation upon an invitation, which I did not intend. I don’t recommend this for someone who is angling for a QB or limited item bc there would be an appearance of impropriety.

My experience with SAs is more like that of @Tyhke above  The friendship is natural. By the way, my H SA is closer to my DH. He does text my DH when he is on vacation (about non H things) And, no it doesn’t make my bag acquisition faster. It actually has no bearing whatsoever.

This! @880 always on point. The SA H friendship is natural. My SA occasionally texts me about non H things, it’s a very natural and fluid relationship. It doesn’t expedite a bag, we just have a lot in common and my SA is all around a lovely person.
If I am going to H bc I am in the area but not shopping, I will text my SA to ignore me as I’m just browsing, like I would at any store — shopping is not a requirement and I do not want to take up her valuable time. (btw when I am only browsing, each and every time, my store is empty and everyone is free to help ). Only when I either want a closer look at an item or have requested something specific, do I schedule an appointment as I do not want to waste SAs limited time.

To respond to original inquiry- I would let my SA know if I am on H break (and I have in the past) and that when I see something of interest or SA finds something of interest for me - that I will be in touch. If you are a regular client, most SAs will reach out if they have not heard from you to make sure your ok.

Currently, I am on “H leave”, I have not seen anything I want at H for months, I don’t need a another bag, and when my SA reached out, I told her. She has sent me pics over the last several months nothing I want and we have had Non H conversations. There are times when I have no H contact and my SA will send me pics or there are times where I am H obsessed and pass by several times a month. Hope this helps. I guess in conclusion, do what feels natural to your specific relationship with the store, SA, but if you have developed an SA relationship, it would be appropriate to let them know your are on an “H leave” .

With the rapid turnover of SAs in my home store, unfortunately it is difficult to sustain any kind of relationship. I enjoyed chatting with my old SA when she had the time but most times she was rushed off her feet. My new SA seems nice but our store has recently made rules about communication only through emails. Or at least that’s what I’ve been told. I do agree about the H holiday though. I always tell my SA when I’m going to be away for a longish time and will contact her only when I see something I want.

My SA was recently promoted and I was assigned a new SA who I shopped with this past weekend. A couple of items she ordered for me when I was in the store and it looks like it came from Hermes online. Would those purchases count towards my account? Does she earn a commission for those items? TIA

Random q that I am sure has been addressed previously:

How long do you typically give your SA to source items before an appt? I was thinking a week but wasn’t sure if further out than that is too annoying

It depends on the items...I usually only text my SA about shoes and fine jewelry since my size is very limited in both boutique and online. Sometimes she'll notify me within a few days to a week, but if she doesn't foresee the item popping up in the boutique any time soon or for at least a month, like shoes and SLG's, she'd just tell me to go stalk the website

I have been shopping with Hermes for nearly a decade and I can honestly say that I have never initiated contact with my SA to tell him to find me something. He contacts me, asks me if I am available and I show up and he has things set aside for me. If it fits and I like it, I buy it. If my kids like it, I buy it. However, the one time I did call my SA because I reconsidered a previously declined QB, my SA got back to me within 24 hours. But it is the one and only time in close to a decade that I have texted a request.
