I understand that I have a few months or more to decide and at this point, I won’t even dare to put my wishlist out there since I’ve just recently gotten an offer. Haha. There’s always a perfect timing for everything. I truly enjoy reading other people’s insights about their b/k/c experiences. I hope one day that I can have a few collections too. I’m learning so much from this thread. Thanks again!
If you have a solid relationship with your SA you don't need to hesitate to line up your next wish, as long as you do it in a non-pushy way. As a personal anecdote, while I was picking up my QB earlier this month I started lining up my wishes for next year (lol I like to plan ahead). We chatted about a lot of the upcoming styles, and what I'd like next, etc. etc. And then a couple weeks later as a complete surprise I'm asked to go in for an SO appt!

I’m newbie to the forum and newbie in maintaining a H relationship.
I got the number of my SA recently after she did for me a wonderful favor : order my first QB bag under my name, without I have any purchase history with her.
I did have purchase history at some different H stores and online. The ratio may be 1:1.
So I’m waiting for my QB to come (my SA said on September) and now I’m interested in buying some non leather items. I asked her by text and she answered me that the item I desired is not available at the store and she doesn’t know when the shipping will be. She said I should order online.
I don’t really understand how to get that? I know that SA can order online for you under their name to be accredited to the sales right? Why doesn’t she want to do so for me? I’m really confused. Otherwise i
I met her in person twice and she is such a sweet person.

Sounds like my SA and my store, which would be perfectly normal as we don’t count prespend like that. Are you in europe?

Yes I’m in Europe. I have checked with the client service and the items I desire are available online and at my store. So I really don’t understand her answer . I really want to strengthen this relationship which I appreciate and really want her to be accredited of all my purchases, but things seem not to be simple

Well Europe is big but where I am, The SA doesn’t seem to care about credit etc. Very different from the norm you read here. I often buy from whoever is around. They all assure me, incl my SA, that they are there to help. My SA often asks someone else to ring my purchase if she is not around, etc. I still get the bags I want. YMMV.
ETA: my feeling is that around here, 'relationship' is with the brand. Not store, let alone SA.
 
Oh it is really different from what I read through the forum. Thank you. I feel a bit more zen now as I was really confused. But still, I don’t understand why she told me that the items I want are not available at the store but in fact they are?
And I wonder what kind of items I can ask her for? only leather or also RTW, housing …?

I was once told by a US SA that H SAs in other parts of the world don’t earn commission on sales, which I found odd because I’m pretty sure in Japan and China SAs do get commission, but I guess they must’ve been talking about Europe. Is it more sales targets for the store as a whole instead of individualized sale commissions in European stores?

I suspect so. When I want something online, I am encouraged to go to the store where the SA ring the purchase for me (and I pay). But how the shop KPI works, I have no idea and never ask became frankly, their commissions, salary, etc is none of my business.

If as you say, sales targets for the store as a whole, my SA can refer me to the store to purchase right? But she just told me that those items are not available. When I ask her how she wants us to proceed for the future items I see online, she encouraged me to purchase on the website…

So many things can happen right? Stock database not updated, delivery data not apparent, SA got the wrong code, someone just bought the item and online database not updated, etc,etc. I won’t pay too much attention to it. Why not visit the store and ask directly? If it is there, great. If not, you can order with your SA online.

maybe you are right. I may think too much . I will pass by the store for sure. I don’t know if I should ask to see my SA when I pass to buy the items I mentioned to her or just buy them and leave secretly? I don’t want her to misunderstand and feel that I’m too noisy and bother her too much… (still waiting for my order of qb to arrive)

I recently read somewhere that when SAs place an online order for a client, the SA gets commission but the store does not get credit for that sale, but I think that was specifically talking about US stores so I’m not sure if that’s how it works in Europe.

Only your SA can answer that. But me, I've been hunting card holders for a while and my store doesn’t get any (they showed me the stock on all of the shops). They told me to just buy online quick before it’s gone. On the other hand, if it's for a new scarf, I go to the store and order.

It’s useless to try to guess the meaning behind every exchange. When in doubt, I ask. When my SA not around, I get someone else to help and as a benefit, I get to know another SA. Soon, the whole store knows me and that can only be a good thing.
