I went to the Boston store last September (am now local) and it was completely bare. The SA was out of like 8 of the 9 things I was looking for, and the bag display area was basically empty. Since this was before the really really big shortage towards the end of last year I don’t even want to know how it is now.

I get the feeling that with the money of local customers and the low stock in Boston it would be better for me to stick with an SA in a more feasible market, even if visiting only a few times a year. I also didn’t click with her really. I am instead waiting while traveling or sellers if I really can’t wait.

This is true regarding Boston store right now. I talked with my SA in Boston and when i asked if they have been busy and have new customers, they all told me that they tried not to take any new customers for relationship anymore because they dont have stock to spare, also they already have a long list of people need to fulfill and been waiting for years for something. So they more of help walk in get what you ask then move on. I would recommend you to stick with the one you have good SA relationship with, if you didn’t really click with any SA in boston. Just for the stock status chances other locations sound like they have more.

Yes, I asked two SAs here in my city to see if they could take a friend of mine as a new client and they said that can’t do it. They’re behind on orders and they want to focus on their current clients and fulfill their orders

You may recall that I posted this past Friday that I decided to see my new SA again that day and she asked me to send her a comprehensive wishlist including BKC. Well I just sent it over after finalizing everything and I don’t think I’ve been so nervous to send an email in my recent memory lol. I hope I did everything ok. I told her I would send her a few colors in color families I am interested in, in addition to the for sure bags I would love to have, and she was receptive to that so that is what I sent over. She mentioned several times in our conversation that afternoon to send her my list so I think she was very receptive to hearing my wishlist. I hope it goes ok eeeek :panic:

Hello!
I’ve started my H journey a year ago and met my SA then. Through the past year I would drop by once or twice a month to just buy little things like silk, shoes, and small leather goods. A few month ago I mentioned to my SA I’m interested in a picotin and the next month I dropped by he surprised me with one in a color he knew I would love. I saw a scarf online I was wondering if he could find for me so I texted him about it and he said he’ll look into it but never got back to me. The next time I reached out was a month later and I texted him asking for an appointment to buy some gifts since it was around Christmas time. He never replied so I just did the walk in on the day I wanted to stop by. I saw him there but he was busy with another customer and I never got a chance to talk to him. How should I approach this situation?

U have to decide how committed you are to the H journey, I suppose with the end goal to get a quota bag.

H doesn’t work along with our plans. I had planned to purchase some items as gifts and communicated well in advance to my SA. But it didn’t happened.

If I am committed, just let it go and buy stuff That make sense for me anx whenever It make sense for me. If I am not committed as it is too much of a chore, then there are other ways to score the bag of my dreams.

I forgot to reply back that my SA was very pleased with my emailed wishlist. Wrote me back right away and thanked me for sending it, told me she had some of the items I wanted and reserved a few others for me, and said she will definitely let me know about bags as they become available. I actually went in yesterday to see her because she had ordered me some oran sandals and they has arrived. They had just received some scarves I was interested in so she had set those aside for me. When I saw her she talked about how she liked my wishlist and asked if I was a meticulous Virgo like her, haha. Nope not a Virgo here but type A. I mentioned I know that since I want neutrals that I know it’s hard to get and she said it’s ok bc I also had listed pops of color and they get both. So I am hopeful. She let me scroll through the laptop to see what’s coming in for the new scarf collection and we reserved a few.

Something interesting she mentioned to me that I’m not familiar with is she said since you like scarves we have an option of making a vest for women lined with a scarf in the back. That sounds so interesting to me. Is this considered a horizon item, and does anyone know approximately how much something like that may cost?

I can’t give you a quote but it’s not Horizon. Hermes RTW also have offered in the past, custom made tunic dresses, cardigans and some other designs, made from a selection of Twillaines for that season. It was semi bespoke as there was a choice of style, the silk and the items were made in the closest standard size to fit customers. I believe menswear sometimes has similar offers for waistcoats. My understanding of this project was when I was chatting with my SA in FSH.

Yes she mentioned jackets for men lined with the silk they wanted. Seems cool. I just hadn’t heard of customization like that before. Thanks for offering your insight

Has anyone used the H website to grab an appointment? My usual SA hasn't answered my text in over two weeks, I have no idea if she's on vacation/leave, and the store almost never answers their phone calls.

I was able to "request" an appointment using the website, but the email states they would send another email once the request has been accepted and the appointment is confirmed. Just wanted to hear some input from others. TIA!

It likely depends on the particular store so you may get more appropriate answers asking in the store specific thread. That being said, last weekend I witnessed a client speak with the front door person at my boutique and the SA asked if she had an appointment. She said “no, but I tried to make one using the online form but never got a confirmation.” The SA shook her head laughing to herself and told the person “uh, yeah, that thing doesn’t work” like it should have been obvious. It was pretty rude, if you ask me. But I have heard of it working from other experiences here on the forum earlier in the pandemic so it may be hit or miss.

Thanks for the input! I guess H has been doing so well lately and that's even not considering the large influx of new clients that it's been hard to shop there as of late. Luckily there's always online shopping, but I always preferred going to the boutique to try things on like shoes and sandals.

Back in NovI requested appointments online for Seattle and NYC and both ended up going through. It took a day or so to get the confirmation emails, and I remember the Seattle confirmation included the SA info. Seattle appointment went amazingly.

I ended up cancelling the NYC appointment the week before, I think it was for Madison.

I understand the need for appointments but as someone still newer to the brand I’d love to just go in and browse without an agenda. If the store is close it could be worth trying a pop in but if not, keep an eye out for a confirmation, or keep calling.

Most stores to my knowledge in NYC are allowing walk ins. Appts are preferred if you want individual attention and a specific time. With walkins you may have to wait some time before an SA becomes available to assist you. I prefer the appt system because my SA isn’t rushed or pulled in multiple directions and I’m able to get in and out much quicker

Has anyone given their SA a little gift like say chocolates for Xmas?
I wanted to give my SA something to say thanks for looking for stuff for me even though it’s my money in the form of sales she gets in the end but don’t want it to look like some kind of bribery.
Yes. Small enough that it isn’t a bribe. Large enough so the SA knows I care. I do this with all my SAs, not just H. But, I also have to have a very strong relationship with them to do so. around the holidays, I bake, so these are items they can share that are also of low monetary value. This is simply a gesture of appreciation.
