I agree that that is true.
This thread should have been named "Maintaining a H relationship to get a quota bag."
This is at it's worse when posts proport to show patronising concern that a client's purchasing decisions are made so that an SA can get the benefit of commission from transactions.
As it stands, the title reflects a basic dishonesty of denial that it is fundamentally about how to ingratiate yourself with your SA to get preferential treatment.
There's no denial or dishonestly in the naming of this thread.
Not everyone wants a quota bag. Not even in the first place.
Not everyone even wants
any H bag ever. H bags have a certain style that are considered quite boring by many (not me!). Doesn't mean they don't like their belts, jewellery, equestrian etc.
I personally have enough bags generally and H bags specifically (how many bags does one need?).
Just because a few YouTubers want a K25/B25/C18 and scream unfair, unjust, elitist H ('how dare they not sell to me, me me, when I have the money!!!') doesn't mean everyone thinks that way.
Most people who like Hermes, like Hermes the brand. There is always the reseller route for those with not enough time/energy/desire. In the long run, buying new/preloved from a reseller is a lot easier, quicker and yes, sometimes cheaper.
Everyone wants different things. I maintain a relationship (11 years and counting) with H for multiple reasons. I have never bought anything I didn't really lust after just to get a bag, nor would I. However,
if a Ltd Ed/quota/seasonal colour bag came along that proved irresistible, I
may suddenly want a bag - if I did I'd ask and I may get. One maintains a relationship to be taken seriously, if and when something special comes along (and that doesn't necessarily mean a bag - it can be as difficult to get some charms/scarves/ltd ed watches/invites.
