Thank you, 880! I am petite (5'2") so although their long cashmere coats look good on the models, I'm not sure if they will look good on me! And not sure if their in-house tailor would entertain my shortening the coat request :P And I don't like their hip length cashmere jackets as to me, cashmere coats have to be knee length, not hip length, or else the elegance is lost.

Maybe I'll try a sweater or a tee first ......
@Ball, my experience has been the same as @Chrismin re medor cashmere coat (I needed the sleeves shortened) and I am also 5’2”. My issue was I also loved a reversible shearling bomber jacket and a blue wool or cashmere coat that had black leather edging or piping down it’s body and the sleeves, and H would not do the sleeve shortening on those two items (so I had to pass on those two). apologies for not making my statement more clear! Happy shopping!

+1 with @periogirl28 above re a good long-standing relationship with an SA.

I agree that that is true.
This thread should have been named "Maintaining a H relationship to get a quota bag."

This is at it's worse when posts proport to show patronising concern that a client's purchasing decisions are made so that an SA can get the benefit of commission from transactions.
As it stands, the title reflects a basic dishonesty of denial that it is fundamentally about how to ingratiate yourself with your SA to get preferential treatment.

There's no denial or dishonestly in the naming of this thread.

Not everyone wants a quota bag. Not even in the first place.

Not everyone even wants any H bag ever. H bags have a certain style that are considered quite boring by many (not me!). Doesn't mean they don't like their belts, jewellery, equestrian etc.

I personally have enough bags generally and H bags specifically (how many bags does one need?).

Just because a few YouTubers want a K25/B25/C18 and scream unfair, unjust, elitist H ('how dare they not sell to me, me me, when I have the money!!!') doesn't mean everyone thinks that way.

Most people who like Hermes, like Hermes the brand. There is always the reseller route for those with not enough time/energy/desire. In the long run, buying new/preloved from a reseller is a lot easier, quicker and yes, sometimes cheaper.

Everyone wants different things. I maintain a relationship (11 years and counting) with H for multiple reasons. I have never bought anything I didn't really lust after just to get a bag, nor would I. However, if a Ltd Ed/quota/seasonal colour bag came along that proved irresistible, I may suddenly want a bag - if I did I'd ask and I may get. One maintains a relationship to be taken seriously, if and when something special comes along (and that doesn't necessarily mean a bag - it can be as difficult to get some charms/scarves/ltd ed watches/invites.

do you like their silks? I love Hermes Twillanie styles and my favorite is their long cardigan! it is a super easy throw on piece that you can dress up & down! new color/prints come in each season  https://www.hermes.com/us/en/product/circuit-24-faubourg-long-twillaine-vest-H1E2828D81U34/
Totally second this. I absolutely love the long twillaine cardigans. Beautiful, casual or dressy, luxurious. And fits beautifully with weight fluctuations (and goes a long way towards covering those fluctuations up! )

I think that if you have been a loyal customer and have been actively buying from one SA for six months..and clearly stated that you are in search of a certain bag and was never offered one (of course you might not get the exact specs you asked for but something similar should be offered), then it is time to move on. Either find a new SA/new H store. No amount of money will be enough to get an offer if your SA/SM doesn't feel like offering you one in the first place. The H game is indeed like being "in a relationship and falling in love". It should be reciprocal and must be giving both ways. Any relationship that is one-sided is totally frustrating. Hope you get your dream bag soon.

I agree with everyone else here. I started my H journey exactly one year ago. I only purchase what I like and obviously hope that one day I will get offer a Birkin 25. But after spending $20k in one year, still no offers. Not even one single bag.

Am i somewhat upset? Absolutely but I do understand that by no means you are entitle to get a bag even if your spending ratio is already $20k in one year. However, seeing some influencers getting bags without that much purchase history really puts a sour taste in my mouth.

I guess maybe i will just pay a premium and get it somewhere else. The H game is definitely not for me.

same case with me. I’m also done with the Hermes game here in the US.

100% agree. I don't have anything against the Hermes game - it's a business and it's understandable for them to use their most coveted bag to drive sales higher. However, seeing others without "effort"/purchase history get offered bags or even special order is just unfair and disheartening and actually makes it seem like Hermes doesn't appreciate their loyal clients. It's like a manager who decides to promote an employee who just joined but left out other employees who have worked hard for months
