Can I just say, I watched one of these unboxing videos in YouTube wherein the youtuber said she didn’t spend much and just “clicked” with the SA, and it’s highly suspicious... cos whenever I ask for a particular bag the SA will need to check with the SM first if she can offer me the bag. Or if the SA calls beforehand to offer me a bag, that means she already got approval. I highly doubt that any SA will plead with their SM to give a quota bag to a customer they just met without prior history/big purchases, what benefit will that be for the SA? No matter if they become instant bffs. Especially if these bags offered are the popular sizes/colors. Unless maybe there’s a special circumstance, like maybe a push present or anniversary gift, but then again, nowadays, it’s still very rare. Maybe if they’re bigger sizes or less popular colors. And then these YTubers act all humble and pretend that they didn’t mention they have a YouTube channel. Not hating if that’s their hustle in life, but it’s annoying how misleading they can be. And how it affects those who are building their H profile, spending 1:1 or 1:2 and not getting the offers they want. Ok thanks for letting me rant.
I so agree with you on this. I had to spend close to 1:1 and it took over a year before I got my Etoupe Kelly. I was offered a Kelly within a few months after spending about 5K, first one was size 35 in red and the other was size 32 in gold and pink inside but I don't like pink so I rejected them nicely. I wanted a black Kelly but my SA told me from the start that black is very hard to get. So I told him get me any neutral color in retourne style and any hardware color. From my experience no SA is going to give you a quota bag without any spending history.

those exact specs are highly coveted and i imagine that's why you're still waiting. my store says they only get a handful of B25s a year (not sure how true that is...) so it can be very tough to get one especially in black with GHW (the most classic of all combinations)... don't lose hope though just be patient...in the meantime, only buy things you love. with respect to ramping up your spending to get a quota bag, that definitely has worked ime but only if its in the high commission categories like fine jewelry and RTW. offers do come very quickly after big ticket buys in those categories - and those offers include the highly requested small sizes.
That's what I heard - jewelry and RTW - my spending though have stayed within the categories of mostly scarves and leather shoes with a few pair of shoes. Only got a Heure H watch once when I got the B30 noir ghw offer. However, my spending has been more than 1 to 1. To be honest, it can be hard to compute the ratio because in between I got a few other non-quota items like the Kelly Pochette, Mini Lindy, Kelly Danse, Kelly wallet to go ......

I didn't want to say it earlier but having seen so many posts around this topic, I am going to share what I have seen with my own eyes. What I will say though is 2020 was a special year that I don't expect to repeat itself again - in terms of offers to walk-ins without major purchase history so easily. I saw with my own eyes that happened - I accompanied my friend who hasn't really shopped at H before to the store because she was intimidated to walk into one by herself. We walked in and she was assigned an SA. She looked at a Clic H bracelet, a rodeo, and a Oran sandal charm and then proceeded to ask for a B/K. The SA said he had only size 30 for B and size 28 for K. And she walked out just like that with a B30 togo noir shw! Subsequently, she got a mini Lindy in noir ghw and a Evelyne TPM (and yes, I went with her that second time too and eye witnessed that too). She got a 3rd offer of a hard to get item - a Kelly wallet to go in noir shw. That was the summer of 2020. I have heard friends of friends scored B30 or K28 too around that time. And another friend of mine actually got a B25 in the new color Bronze Dore also without major purchase history. It's true. But no more like that the recent couple of months, well, at least I haven't heard that anymore from my friends or friends of friends ...... It was likely due to pandemic, there were more stocks piled up after months of closure but now that the stores can open with restrictions, history isn't going to repeat itself.

I agree with many others who have posted this - buy only what you like and enjoy the brand. It's a journey one should enjoy and ultimately the quota bags would come.

I meant staying within the categories of "scarves, leather goods, and a few pair of shoes".

I have heard something similar when I was living in NYC just as stores were opening back up during the summer.

But it seems to back to the same waiting game...

I’m not sure if this is the right thread to be posting this in, but I feel terrible and could use everyone’s advice, encouragement and support. Let me just preface by saying my husband and I have been VERY good and careful during the pandemic. We never see anyone, we always wear masks even on walks around the neighborhood, and we hardly go anywhere except to pick up essentials, and even then we try to get most things delivered. The one store I do allow myself to go to every couple months is Hermès since I have always felt safe there. On Thursday, I paid a visit to my Hermès SA. Over the weekend, my husband started feeling fatigued so he quickly went to get tested and the doctor just called to let him know the test came back positive. We have no idea HOW! (We think it may have been a trip he took to Rite Aid to pick up a prescription). I started feeling symptoms yesterday and today, so the dr said to just assume I have it as well. Both of us are in our late 30s and our symptoms are mild so far. I just texted my SA to let her know of his diagnosis (he wasn’t there, but since I was exposed to him...) but I just feel sooooo guilty. I was double masked when I saw her so I REALLY hope she’ll be ok. I also just feel so guilty about her potentially having to stay home for 14 days and lose out on precious pay. My husband says I’m overthinking and I did the right thing, but why do I feel so awful about it? I haven’t heard back from her yet as it’s Sunday evening and I’m sure she’s enjoying her off time, but I’m so terrified she’ll hate me and I’ve ruined our relationship. Did I do the right thing in telling her? It also just feels so ironic and frankly pretty frustrating that we were so careful and still got it. Our family and friends have all been shocked to hear the news because they say we’re the safest people they know. Sigh, you just never know. Be safe, everyone.

What’s done is done. Letting your SA know was absolutely the morally correct thing to do, regardless of any possible impact on you getting a silly leather purse. It’s literally a matter of life and death, if not just for your SA, potentially for your SA’s loved ones. If you think you feel badly now, think of how badly you would feel if their mother mysteriously got covid and passed away because you didn’t warn her. Your informing the SA will allow them to take whatever necessary precautions to keep themselves safe and they can likely still work remotely to take clients’ orders and make transfers even if it’s from home. Hope you and your husband, and everyone in your orbit, recovers swiftly!
