For advice on how to shop at your local store please do a search in Hermes Shopping sub-forum and look for your store/region/country.

It would definitely hurt your relationship with your SA, especially if she brought the item in from another store. Wait for your SA or contact the store again yourself if you need it quicker.

Thank you so much, acrowcounted! I’ll wait until my local SA comes back then. She didn’t source it though bc the store already had it... but hopefully it’s still available bc it has been many weeks.

Looking for advice on starting an SA relationship (apologies if this isn't the right place to post this question): I recently went to my local Hermes boutique for the first time - because of COVID, I was assigned an appointment and to an SA. She was nice and very mild mannered but definitely seemed quite junior (she told me she has been there for about a year). I plan to return to the store soon, but found out that she isn't working on the day that I was initially planning to go. Because we need to schedule appointments for the store, I feel like this could be an opportunity to meet another SA who has more experience (and potentially more influence down the road if I'm looking for a B/K). What would you all recommend - make an effort to continue with the younger SA (I can certainly adjust my schedule accordingly) and perhaps then she will remember me more readily down the road, or use the excuse to meet someone else? (also, does the store keep notes on which clients work with which SAs and "assign" them internally? because of the new appointment making system, it feels like it would be more awkward to change later on).

Yes, I’ve had my SA source many items for me. I never buy online... if I see something I like, even on another country’s website, I send her the info and she will try to track it down for me.

ive done this but oftentimes I’m told the color (on the website) isn’t available for order. Are they ordering from other stores?

It depends on the store and luck. I started with my SA when she was only 8 months in. She treated me way nicer than the one that I...ditched? My SA finally got a SO quota after two years and she gave it to me. I am not a high spender. I know this doesn’t really mean anything but with H, anything can happen.

Yes. Here in US, doing a domestic search is usually sufficient, but a global search can also be done. It can be significant effort on the part of the SA to request from another store... and the other store can decline the request... so it’s not something I normally initiate unless it’s a must-have item for me.

SAs are offered bags for their clients based on the clients' spend/profile. If an SA is having "more influence" on bag offers, it is because her clients are spending more and/or have a longer tenure with the store and thus your competition will be stiffer. As long as you got on well with your original SA, I would not switch over perceived seniority concerns.

There’s a slight benefit I think working with newer SA in some cases as the SM will give the new SA more bags to help this SA build up his/her client list.

I started to buy hermes earlier this year and have for most of the part bought with one SA. Recently, I have been contemplating about finding a new SA... it'll be great if anyone can give me some advice or share their experience.
The store location is quite far from where I live, especially with Covid, I don't go to the store as often as I would like. So in an effort to maintain the relationship, I would text her to try and place orders for smaller items. 65% of the time I wouldn't get a response and 35% of the time, she replies two or three days later. This kind of response makes it impossible to build a relationship!!
So far, I have purchased two non quota bags (each around $9000) and other accessories around ($3000) from her without any offers...
Does my spend to back to zero if I find a new SA? and would you guys recommend me finding someone in the same store or another location?

Thank you!

Hi all,

I was wondering what the new protocol was on bringing your SA treats? In the past I have brought her (and the staff!) macarons and cupcakes from local bakeries, but with covid I am hesitant. I just got my dream bag and I'd love to send something special - are flowers allowed?

I brought some chocolate chip cookies from a local bakery to my home store and they happily accepted. They came in a box with a ribbon.

I would just check with your SA about treats - some stores were being strict and not accepting them (COVID cautions) but some others are ok. It depends on where the store is I would assume.

My SA last Christmas refused a gift from us. But she accepted a box of pastries for all of the stuff. The pastries were all individually wrapped.

I bought individually wrapped chocolates for my SA and the rest of the team today. Due to COVID, they are unable to accept anything food related. They were still very appreciative though.
