I think most stores are very understanding of customers who prefer to limit physical shopping at this time & willing to work with shipping / phone orders / remote shopping. I would just start by shooting an email to your SA (whoever it is you want to work on getting a quota bag with) and I'd probably do it like the following:
Start with saying hi, maybe even gently remind them of who you are (e.g. mention some past purchase) especially if there's been like no communications in 2 years, and some good wishes that they are doing well in the current situation, which easily transitions to mentioning your desire to shop remotely and asking them if that's possible / how it works.

Then I would not hesitate to make it clear that you are looking to start shopping H again after the hiatus - probably you can include list of things you are looking for, anywhere from very specific things to general ideas of types of things you are looking for (the latter makes it easier for them to send photos of what they might have in store), and I may hold off on mentioning a quota bag for the first contact unless it's a topic you've talked about before.

Then wait and see how they respond and if you can start working from there.

As a side-note, I would not worry too much if it takes some time for the SA to respond to emails. It's actually a very commonly mentioned thing in this thread / forum, but some good SAs may take a couple days to respond, because they are busy in stores, limit work email to work hours so they can have work life balance, etc. While they are the only SA you are talking to, you are one of the many clients the are communicating with so it's not too unreasonable for it to take a while.

Wishing you good luck!

Thank you very much I really appreciate it :)!

I actually visited the store a month or so ago and that's how we reconnected. I keep sending him items I'm interested in but it's been 2 weeks since I last heard from my SA. I guess patience is key in maintaining this H relationship.

I didn't realize you already re-connected! Sounds like a step in the right direction. 2 weeks *is* a little long, the other possibilities I can think of is that he is on a vacation (call store to check?), or maybe replies went into your mail junk folder or something? If he is working but ignoring you for 2 weeks, that is a little too long...

Yes, generally speaking patience is very much the key in the entire H game. That being said, 2 weeks is too much patience to ask for...I would check on what's going on for sure.

My SA has done the same to me as the person you replied to... I’m a “new” shopper and was randomly assigned an SA due to pandemic mandated appointments. I spent $7000 (including a non quota bag) on my first trip and followed up a couple of weeks after to stay in touch and mention a few things I’d like to get on my next shopping trip. He replied later that day, then blew me off when I tried to schedule a follow up appointment. I followed up another week and a half later. This time he got back to me instantly and then when I tried to confirm an appointment, he didn’t reply again! And I even mentioned that I want to purchase a very specific piece of jewelry. Wouldn’t it be “funny” if it were the same SA? Haha

I really do not understand the lack of communication, and it’s very frustrating, considering it’s not like I bought one low value item then demanded a quota bag. I’m thinking of switching H stores, since I’d feel very strange calling and asking for a different SA at that shop...then run into my initially assigned person! Eek!

It stinks that this happens to people who want to be loyal H patrons.

I posted the following question in the wrong thread by accident, so I’m reposting it here. Please help me delete my other post if needed. thanks!

Ladies, I need some advice/input on what I should do in this particular situation. So I finally got offered my second quota bag last week. I waited for over 8 months for my second bag offer and already spent over $25k+ after my 1st bag offer (and my pre-spend on the 1st bag is also over 2:1). However, when I went to my appointment to pick up my bag, my SA tried really hard to talk me into buying a fine jewelry piece that costs over half of a B30. She seemed really disappointed when I said I need to think about it and that it might have to wait until next year because I’ve been spending way too much this year especially lately.

Even though she’s been slow in offering me bags, she hadn’t really pushed me hard to buy things. Maybe it was because every time I go visit I buy a lot? But this time I felt she really wanted me to buy that piece of jewelry for some reason. And I read somewhere that it could be a sign that the SA really needs help with that particular category to achieve her monthly sales goal or something along that line.

Honestly I think I’ll get that piece sooner or later, but I would rather give myself a break for now, unless getting it now is going to help her achieve her sales goal and make her happy, and hopefully lead to a bag offer in January maybe? I’m not sure if my store ‘zeros out‘ purchase history and wants clients to do another round of pre-spend in a new calendar year. I know what many of you have experienced is that once you are considered an establish and loyal client and have been offered a few bags, you don’t have to spend that much in a new year to be offered a bag because they look at how much you’ve spent in previous years. I don’t know how true this is with my store so I’m hesitsnt.

Please advise what would be the best way to handle this situation because the last thing I want to is to upset my SA. TIA!

EDIT: Not preferring to buy it now is not really a financially based decision. It has more to do with wanting to spend the money next year to make sure that it counts toward next year’s pre-spend for my bag offer. I’m definitely no longer in desperate need to please my SA, but if I can help her accomplish her sales goal if she does have one, and that purchase can be considered when it comes time to offer bags next year, then I don’t mind buying it now.

The question is likely moot at this point since I believe sales goals are per calendar month. If she was in trouble for September that ship has sailed so buying it tomorrow is likely the same to her as a future sale in January (or whichever future month).

I might just wait for another week before reaching out again. It's slightly baffling as to why his attitude can be so different offline vs online. Unfortunately switching SA is not an option for me since the store is really small. Most if not all SAs/ SM already recognise me and there's a high chance of him working. Sigh the psychological struggle is real.

We are totally in the same boat and I totally feel you *hugs*
Our SAs are super similar in the sense of instant replies on rare occasions..

I truly enjoy the H craftsmanship and quality, and obviously expect a certain level of customer service. Anyway enough of the rant there isn't really much I can do except maybe just be a good customer and hopefully one day he'd be more responsive.

Not sure this is has been explained somewhere before, please kindly let me know if it has. But I’m relatively new to H world and need some help interpreting the H language.

Yesterday I went to see my SA to do an exchange and since I had the appointment for the whole hour, I ended up browsing and picking up a mini Evie. Anyway after finishing off with the exchange and new purchase in the register, my SA walked me to the door and casually mentioned that we’re approaching end of the year and each customer is allowed two quota bags, after my Kelly from August, I still have one quote bag left. He asked if I was interested in another Kelly or perhaps a Birkin. I then said I would like my next bag to be a B30 in black/gold and no hardware preference. He then said there’s currently only a touch in stock that’s in the color size combination that I want, and asked if I was interested in a touch. I politely declined and said I currently don’t have the budget for a touch but would like a “regular leather” for now, he said he would let me know once they have it in stock.

I was surprised that he asked without me ever mentioning a wishlist. I only met him in Aug and he helped me with the Kelly without any purchase history so I’ve been trying to establish a good relationship before asking for a second bag (thanks for the great advice I received earlier in this very thread!). So I’m super grateful that he’s trying to help me again. My question is - is this what you would consider an “offer”? If it was, was it rude that I declined the touch as they seem quite popular? I never even imagined I would even get asked to see a touch for my first B! I thought those are typically for clients with longer history (and please correct me on this if I’m wrong too) TIA!

Yes !!! Definitely an offer. If you would have said yes to the touch she/ he would sell it to you.

I'm not sure where you are located but a lot of stores right now have lost a lot of their international client base, which means they have more bags available. That was definitely an offer, but more will come! Just remember buy what you love, your SA will start to select things that suit you over time. Cheers!

That is something I have realized for sure (the fact that there are less Asian tourists, normally super high spenders): I have definitely been offered way more B/K options than ever.
