Ahh my SA just rung me to tell me that she’s temporarily moving to another H store for the next 12 months. It’s about 40 mins drive there. Question is, because she’s moving temporarily, should I follow her and rebuild a profile in her new store, or should I stick with my current store and work directly with my SM while I wait for her to return end of next year? I know that H is all about store commission and loyalty but is the loyalty with the SA who helps you with your wishlist bags or with the store aka SM? My SA has subtly hinted that I can follow her and that supporting both stores is fine but isn’t it implied that you stick to one store? This is my understanding across other overseas stores I go to. Can I anyone here chime in and give their advice?

Option 1: Work with my SM directly and stick to my home store which is highly convenient as it’s 10 mins walk from home.

Option 2: Follow my SA to the other store for 12 months and go back after. But what’s the impact on the current SM’s impression? Will she care and get upset that I didn’t support her?

Are you in the USA?

Stick with SM and visit SA once or twice over the year.

Stick with SM and visit SA once or twice over the year.

I haven’t spoken to the SM about this news but last week she did say to email my SA and herself my new wishlist so in hindsight maybe she was planning to follow through with my requests? I’m hoping she will just take over for the time being instead of assigning me to a new SA I may not be familiar with.

I am thinking the same too since I have an SO coming.

hello: to the ladies that go in to browse with nothing specific in mind, do you make an appointment or just a surprise visit?

2019 was my first year purchasing H and before coming in to meet with my SA i did tons of research on the products via the H website so that i was prepared in knowing exactly what i wanted. i don't like to waste anyone's time but i quite enjoy browsing lol.

Because I live quite close, I often go in simply to browse. The boutiques in London get quite busy and is nice to have a reconnaissance. No. After how much preparing you do things always look different in person.

thanks for the response! and good point on reconnaissance advice. I really would love to browse rtw at my local store.

It also depends on how busy your store usually is. My SA prefers for me to make an appointment since she cannot be free to assist me if I just drop in. Of course, you could always time your visit at a slow time when there will be fewer customers in the store (earlier in the day on a weekday is usually). For RTW, it’s nice to make an appointment since your SA will need to assist you with sizes and to check if there are other colors available etc.

Hi! Im new to this hermes game and was wondering how things work in this U.S side of the hermes world.

Im waiting for a birkin and over the past 6 months I have spent about 7k

my SA was nice enough to offer me a kelly for this quota but kelly was not on my radar so i passed.

does this mean that i blew my chance and 7k doesnt count towards anything anymore?

or will she offer me another bag once she gets a new shipment

And is it better to go in and buy a lot of things at once? Or should i pop in more often.

lastly, is it normal for your SA to get back to you couple hours to a day later or is it a sign that she doesnt want to help me..?

Sorry if i asked one too many questions!

But any tips will help!

With all the stores I go to, if I drop by for a surprise visit I only browse alone and take notes for my wish list. I try on RTW and shoes only if there is someone free to help. When I am ready I send in an email or WhatsApp with my wishlist in advance and make an appointment with my SAs. That way I do not waste their time. I think this is important, especially as my SAs in Paris only see clients by appointment, but if they have spare time they assist those customers who successfully applied for online slots and are waiting to be helped.

Congrats on your offer! No, declining the K does not mean you blew your chance. To the contrary, lots of people decline offers! You $7k will still count toward future offers even in the new year.

I would remind your SA what you are looking for and I’m sure that as soon as that bag or something similar comes, she will offer to you.

I personally prefer to go in more frequently and make smaller purchases (pair of shoes, shawl, etc). I’m sure others have had success with less frequent, larger purchases also. I think the key is keeping yourself on your SAs mind.

Yes, very normal for SAs to respond hours or days later. Your SA may be busy or have the day off. Or need to research for an item you asked about. Sometimes I feel like if my SA got busy and forgot I’ll send a reminder a few days later.
