Hi there! I think you’re the one I met in SF on Monday! We have the same SA;) just joined the forum for advice and where to go from here ...for another bag..xx

What a WILD coincidence, I was at the store on Monday too!! And I think I recognize PaperbagPrincessD based on her lovely B25 which she was wearing on Monday. I was checking out (I bought a Lindy 26 in Gris etain with GHW) and she was waiting to talk to the SA that I also work with so must we all have the same SA. Small world!!!

What a coincidence ! Yes I remember her gorgeous B25 ! Small world...didn’t even expect to find other women in my area on the forum. I’m definitely new-enjoying my first bag.

Funny. I knew you’d end up here. It’s a great community. [emoji846] After seeing your lovely black bag I asked our SA for one too [emoji87] Either black or red. Hopefully your mother gets her Constance soon. Such a lovely bag [emoji173]️

What a small world [emoji87] I always wonder if other TPFers are around when I’m at the store. If either of you ladies are planning on attending the RTW next month let me know [emoji16]...I’d love to make new Hermes friends.

I always email my SA before I come in so that she can make sure it’s in stock or order it for me. I think it’s good to let them know you’re coming in to make sure it isn’t their day off. They prefer you work with the same SA rather than jumping around. It’s fine even if it’s for small items. I email my SA even when I’m coming in for one twilly [emoji87]. Hope that helps.

I think I found a younger SA I jive better with and bought a bracelet through them last month.

I have my eye on another bracelet or two and want to work with them specifically to build a relationship (at this stage in my journey I am not ready for high wattage bags yet; but I observed that even non-high-wattage bags or accessories in specific colours can be hard to locate without relationship with an SA).
They gave me their e-mail address last month.

What's the proper way to ensure I work with them specifically for all my purchases?
Is it weird if I e-mail them to book a brief appt (even though I am only buying two bracelets)?

Do you experienced folks only book appts with your SAs when making a larger purchase?
Would SAs be annoyed if you book appt to buy "small" things like bracelets?
I already know the colours I want for the bracelets since I spotted the colours online, but I don't want to order them online.

A helpful TPFer suggested I check in here:

Do the large format 140cm cashmere silk shawls count towards your purchase history for a kelly or Birkin?

Scarves don’t right?
They do - the only instances that ive heard of where they dont is when someone walks in without purchase history at that specific store and they are "advised" to make a rtw, jewelry or home goods purchase to be eligible.

I contacted my SA at Hermes and went to visit him. While there, I saw this tall, statuesque woman, followed by two even taller men. Both men had huge orange bags in each hand while the elegant lady lead them out of the store. My curiosity was piqued - I wondered who the woman was, but more importantly, what were in the four huge boxes??

Everything counts towards the profile. Some items count more in building the relationship as they have individual commissions for the SA. I believe fine jewelry (silver doesn't count), RTW and home are the ones.

That said, buy what you like. I am pretty sure my whole set of Samourais CSGM Shawls helped me get whatever I got offered. But I personally won't buy them all had I not been in love with them.

Silver totally counts! As long as it comes from the fine jewelry section. I know bc I just got my first B and a silver item definitely got me closer to the finish line! My SA is pretty blunt.

Good to hear about the shawls! Next purchase it is! I saw a most beautiful woman wearing one in a photo on this site and I’ve become obsessed!!

Someone said only that silver doesn't count as fine jewelry on some thread once. It counts towards the profile, but I don't know about the individual commission part. For me, silver looks pretty on other people but I ruin them. Ha ha. So I never had a need to find out the exact fact.

The CSGMs are definitely gorgeous and versatile. I have as many of them as the silk.
