You’re right, complaints will get you nowhere. She hears complaints every single day from people trying to get a B/K. She may be better now about returning your phone calls/texts, but that doesn’t really solve your problem because you don’t just want more attentive service, what you want is a bag. Right? So, here again, same advice—be honest, polite, direct and clear about what you actually want and how you can meet her needs as well (to sell things from the store besides B/K’s).

There’s a book I read years ago about business called, “Hope is Not a Method.” :amuse: Everyone has to do what suits their wallet and personality, but randomly throwing thousands of dollars at a problem and hoping for the best outcome doesn’t seem sensible to me. Talk to the SM and say that you’ve done all of your purchasing at her store (her store is an important distinction) in an effort to be loyal to her store and you hope that since your SA left, you won’t be forgotten. Tell her you still have a long list of non-B/K things you want to buy, and show her your list of RTW, housewares and jewelry. Tell her you’d like to get her advice, because you really enjoy buying all of your H items in the same place—does she think your bag might arrive in the near future or does she feel it might be better for you to check other stores. She will probably look up your history and check her stock, and tally your list and then she’ll decide if she can get you the bag or not. Either way, you’ll know where you stand and can go from there.

Edit: Just read your most recent post. Good for you to speak to her, but fiddlesticks to her telling you in essence that it has nothing to do with money. She is in business and has goals and quotas—it has absolutely everything to do with money. My take on what she just disclosed to you is that she’s less interested in what you spent in the past (because she feels you were rewarded for that already with a nice B) than what you plan to buy from her store now and in the future. She may currently have some big spenders clamoring for B’s, so that’s fair. So go in and talk to her and show her your non-leather shopping list. Then the ball is in her court.
Thankyou i love your idea. I have a huge wishlist and it's not all leather goods thats for sure! I'm becoming a bit tired of hearing they dont issue bags on commissional sales which i know is a load of bs. Just wish they would be honest with people. Yes there might be a waitlist but dont tell me bs that you only issue bags per the list lol. I love Hermes but to be frank I'm tired of the games I'm finding so much more solitude in the reseller/preloved market however since i love the brand i still want to get the occasional dream bag in store. Once per year surely isn't much ro ask when your spending there each year too! Argh sorry for the rant (p.s. i also heard a story of how someone complained to the director of treatment at store even though she was a bigger spender than me. Apparently SM called her apologised and quote said "is that what you wanted to hear from me?". She took her money elsewhere to a store in a different state and has been happy shopping there ever since)

you could always say that you've been reserving all your funds for your next Birkin and are so looking forward to treating yourself to all the other item on your list after you have made that wish come true

Thats pretty much exactly what i said in my phone call to her LoL! Because when she said to me "we dont issue bags on comissional sales so we want customers to buy what they love" i pretty much said absolutely i only buy what i love but i kind of reached my threshold on bigger wishlist items now since i don't want to dip in to my funds set aside. I only have a few small things i would be getting up until next bag. (I had later emailed her about a pocket scarf, bastia in rose d'ete & rex loafers; all of which not available unless i go online which i kind of see as defeating the purpose lol. I don’t mean to offend you with this question at all, please don’t take it that way, but I wonder if it’s at all possible the SA or SM think you could be a reseller? I know it’s not the case, but I follow you on Instagram and if they saw one or two of your posts and not all, I can see how they might accidentally come to that conclusion.

Yea I thought that too but i know alot of ladies who shop at H and resell the ones they find dont work for them. It is possible and it would really bother me if they think that since selling an odd bag here and there that didn't work out for me is hardly "reseller" category especially when all my collection is not purchased at the store anymore lol. And like lot of ladies here say its none of H business if we realise a bag doesnt work out for us we paid for it with our money and played their games so its our right if we wish to sell what doesnt work just like we sell/upgrade our cars. So I would like to hope H are not so narrow minded in that sense. But they wouldnt be able to find me by first and last name on Instagram so i would be suprised if they came to that assumption[emoji15]

I have no problem reselling old bags if I’ve carried them and get tired of them, but think what they meant is buying a bag we aren’t crazy about for the sole purpose of reselling BNIB. Or no? Maybe I misunderstood and sorry if that’s the case!

I have never bought a bag with the intention to resell. Actually with the exception of one bag i have never made a profit when i chose to sell i always lost money across all design houses. Also my Instagram is mostly OOTDs so its definitely isnt even close to a potential reseller page i think she just meant H could be awfully picky [look for any excuse to er on side of caution] and that could be a possibility but in my opinion i highly doubt that is the reason. I do know someone who was with my SA i just changed from spent over 110kaud to get 3 bags that year then offered opportunity to do SO that following year. I guess i just am not spending enough [emoji23]

Sorry i edited my last post. I thought the part at the end was a bit to general lol but i had a good laugh at my end sentence revision [emoji23] . But ya i dont think they know my insta page anyway i would be amazed if they found it since they dont even reply to emails promptly LOL

don’t be surprised if they do know how to find you, lots of SAs google clients and this forum is known to Hermes. My store has a tPF client who has gone so far as to report other clients incorrectly for being resellers to our local H in order to get their offers. IG and this forum are not private and full of all sorts of odd behavior.

That said, my SA understands the difference between selling a bag that doesn’t work for you vs habitually flipping bags and professional reselling. I hope you find a resolution to your H store. Sometimes they just don’t have anything to offer, i’m a good client who can get regular offers no matter what I spend but often they just don’t have a bag that I’m interested in!

I’m with you, I’ve spent a lot of money and been asked to settle quite a bit which I don’t want to do anymore, I want the size and color I want or I’m not interested. I asked to place an SO and got no response. No follow up on RTW pieces I inquired about. No response on when my podium order might actually arrive. I’m over it, I can afford to buy from resellers at a markup and I’m successfully cultivating relationships elsewhere currently. Too much $ for bad service.

Agreed. My sa has friended me on social media and I’m not easily found either. I think it’s by suggested friends.

Thats interesting! My original SA 100% new the difference actually i was always telling her what bags didnt work for me and what i onsold. Thats why i felt we were like old friends i could easily and openly talk with her. But i think really common sense can notice the difference between a reseller and a genuine shopper who may sell a bag that didnt work out rather than have it sit collecting dust; by all means if i was loaded i would let that dust pile! I will ask the supervisor if there is a reason why some ladies get 2 quota bags per year and others dont i.e. myself. And what i need to do to be one of those who get their 2 per year. At this stage i really dont care about treading on eggshells. I do know i am not alone and half a dozen of my social media friends whom shop there also dont get 2 bags per year; lucky to get 1 actually. I think it still comes back to relationship and cold hard cash. At least thats the case at my store lol.

Totally agree i am enjoying shopping with resellers at the moment i have no stress and am spoiled for choice. And actually considering what i spent in the last year on other things at H (that i do enjoy and love) i still havent got a bag and really one can only buy so much "other things" until they start to wonder is the service at H worth it? Even if you enjoy the other things you still are not getting the service you desire. And like you said it starts to feel like bad service for all the cash splurged you are a paying customer and do expect reciprocation of "good service" which includes of course the ultimate desire of K B C. I hope the both of us get what we desire at store soon and maybe that might bring back our enthusiasm? But for now im with you and i feel fairly done; im prepared to fulfil a couple small wishlist items(if i get a response to last email lol) but after that I'll just sit and wait for X bag on waitlist and enjoy the stress free reseller market [emoji12]
