Thanks for the photos!

The strap drop length on the short handle is about 8" and I can easily get it on my shoulder (and I do NOT have super-skinny model arms lol). However it would probably be difficult for many women to shoulder carry it while wearing a heavy winter coat.

I considered this strap drop issue when deciding between the small and large size Mademoiselles. In thinking it over I realized that when using my other hobo-type bags (like the Foulonne hobo for instance), I often hand carry them by the handle anyway while walking around and in many situations because its easier than constantly trying to hold the bag up on my shoulder while moving. Fwiw....

Have you started using it yet? Does the short handle get in your way, when you use the longer strap?

No I haven't carried it for a full day yet. It's been so hot and humid the past week and I want to wait for cooler fall-like weather. But of course I've been wearing the bag all around the house trying it out.

The short handle is always there but it doesn't bug me. Perhaps I'm already used to the look from all the instagram pics of the bag over the past six months. It's not difficult to open the clasp when the short handle is dangling down the front, you can easily push it aside.

Another option I've seen is you can clip the long strap in front of the short handle, so that when wearing the bag crossbody the short handle drops down the back and hangs behind the bag, against your body. I don't really think that's a better look though.

^Actually I just tested it out this way and I like it.

Wonderful! I had always wondered how comfortable is this. Reason being crossbody straps tend to bounce when I walk. Thank you for sharing that there are no issues when the short strap is in front. When I look at all the gorgeous photos you posted, this 'functionality' aspect always left me pondering about it.
