Just to update:
Firstly, Happy Valentine's Day!
I did receive my new bag this morning! I'm impressed that they got it out to me so quickly. I didn't have time to open it before I left out so I was wondering what surprises might be waiting for me in there...
As promised, it was in the original MK packaging, so all of the hardware and the handles were wrapped up, unlike the first bag. It's perfect! No scratches, weird spots, or lighters :rolleyes: and it did come with the dust bag.

So here are my Hamilton babies & some accessories. I should have moved the dud from the background. I suppose I'll get around to taking it back to Macy's this weekend.

I hope that if any of you receive a bag that isn't up to par from any retailer, that you complain immediately and get a new one if possible. Maybe it will motivate them to get it right the first time! :D

I am glad this time the bag was perfect & with no unwanted surprises included. ;)
 
I've been a lurker for awhile, but I had to register to add to this. I recently ordered a studded Selma clutch from Macys and it arrived yesterday in much the same way. It came from NYC and was an obvious return. It has a huge scratch on the back! I love the clutch and I don't really want to return it, and I got a good deal on it. However, I still paid $80 for it and expect it to be received in new condition! I may go to my local Macy's and see if they have one to exchange, as they're sold out online now. How frustrating!!

If you want to save yourself a trip, just call customer service and tell them that you received a damaged clutch and they can locate where another one is. If they have any left but they're not in stores near you, then they can ship a new one to you and you can return the damaged one in-store. In my case, they made sure to give me a brand new bag in all the wrapping, to avoid having another dud sent to me.
I hope that helps and I'm sorry you had to go through this too! It's so disappointing.
 
Thanks for your response. I did try calling customer service at first, but I was frustrated already and going through all the automated options just frustrated me more. I sent an email, so hopefully I'll get a sufficient response that way. If not, I may have to call. What a shame this all is. I also ordered some MK gloves from Macy's that when I received, were obvious returns also. However, they were in okay shape. I'm sure they do this will all merchandise, but it sure makes me sad because I've been wanting that clutch for awhile!

Going through the options and waiting can be a pain. When I called I was actually disconnected right as a sales rep finally took my call. But I called again and ended up with a great one that really wanted to help. So I think you should call as well.
I think it's so disappointing to order a brand new product, then when you finally get it and open it, it's obviously been used or abused. I understand that we've all probably purchased lots of returned items and have been none the wiser, but if I can actually tell then that's a problem!

Haven't been able to pick my order from Macy's up from ups yet. Hopefully tomorrow (website says they don't close for pres day) but now I am super worried it was shipped in a bag and will have tons of dents D: anyone know if dents ever come out ? Can you stuff the bag and let it sit and eventually the dents will be no longer ?

Some of the dents on my Selma came out, but not all of them.
 
To everyone that ordered from Macy's on February 9th with the 25% off code WORKIT:

When I placed my order with this code, the Macy's site had a promo gift of a MK keychain/bag charm with a purchase of $99 or more. However, it was not added to my order and I did not receive it with my coffee Selma (which was sent from a store in NY but thankfully did arrive in perfect condition).

I thought that they likely ran out and did not include the free gift. To be on the safe side, I contacted Macy's customer service to inquire and they apologized, stating that I should have received the gift, and they are sending it out to me. If you did not receive the free gift, contact Macy's customer service- hopefully you will also receive the same response.
