Thank you! Yes, I prefer the blue side actually - the orange was just more visible when I took it out of the box, ha!

I normally wear big scarves with the "bias fold" so it becomes linear, but maybe I'll try the "handkerchief" style showing the blue and see if that helps - thank you! The ice blue background is also really pretty.
It is a very pretty scarf! I hope it works for you and you choose to keep it :) I’m a pumpkin enabler haha

Hi all and MERCI milles fois for all the input. What a resource!

So the email reply from a LV France staff member came in today… the translation reading just as all had indicated in their replies: no go to buy online from there as (a) don’t have a credit card with a European bank/company [something I should have done awhile back really & will rectify this summer] and (b) buying online would not allow détaxe and shipping is only within general region of France [though a few spots online seem to state that détaxe could be a possibility online…so will need to double check with a reply email to Melissa @LV.

My wish to buy it now is based on that it could be sold out once I get to France, which is looking like August at this point. What does everyone think might be the chances of finding this particular YK NFMMby then? I really have this thing about buying a designer item in the country where the design house is situated; know that i can find the bag here, but it makes it less special for me (plus being it is also some hundreds less expensive purchased à la France as I think all are aware).

I don’t think you’d be able to get the NF pumpkins in August in France. why not just get it now if you really want it?

I know I could, but it’s part of the allure of obtaining such things in France (« la chasse », if you will) that adds a certain je ne sais quoi for me). Makes the to be spent more worth it, IMO. That’s just my way of thinking.

Ok. I don’t believe it will be available in August in France, my guess is the collection will be pulled way before then. If you are in the US either buy in the US or like another suggested get a personal shopper to send to you. They will not ship from another country to the US. Doesn’t seem worth it to me to miss out on the bag but your choice…

I recommend buying the pumpkin NF now, in the country you live in, and buying a second (or more) piece as a souvenir when you travel! :graucho: Special edition items are special and mostly made in France too, so just because it’s not purchased in France shouldn’t mean it’s less special. The bag will be the perfect traveling companion for the duration of your trip and prices will likely increase by then anyway.

As a Kusama self-enabler, I support this choice of a second bag as souvenir and to buy now the bag that you want. I am almost certain there won’t be Kusama left by August.

Agreeing with everyone else here that you should get it now as it’s highly unlikely it will be around for long. As far as buying in France for the experience, I would agree if it were a Goyard or Delvaux - or one of the other niche brands that has no or very few US boutiques. It’s a unique experience that is all part of the purchase. But LV? There’s one on every corner in Paris and hundreds in the US. And I’ve purchased in both places and they’re basically all the same. Except for the price, there’s no difference buying an LV in Paris vs the US IMO.

I can’t believe I saw the little pumpkin speedy carried at Coachella by Purseblog IG…I would never bring a bag like that there! I’d be so scared it would get ruined…

Lol! I thought the same thing when I saw that post!

Do you follow fashion influencers like Xenia Donts, Aimee Song on IG? They go to Coachella dressed in full designer looks (designer shoes that they walk around in and designer pants that they sit on the grass in)

Thanks everyone... I am struggling to fold it to show a pumpkin without showing the writing, which I'm not a fan of at all. Also if you fold it handkerchief style showing one pumpkin, it's upside down...

Still debating whether to keep but if it's not an instant love, I feel it should be returned, especially given the price point over a regular monogram shawl... anyway, for those that are interested and can get their hands on one, here is how I would probably wear it (pardon the outfit but I am WFH today!).

If you really wanted the pumpkin neverfull, you would not risk it going out of stock before you can get one.

Because you are debating, I’m guessing that the experience of buying LV from the country of France has more significance to you than the actual item itself.

My suggestion -don’t get the pumpkin neverfull. Just wait and see if it’s available in France, come August.

Worst case scenario, you miss out, kick yourself, but you learned something. You’ll learn to better discern when you actually really want an item, and when you’re just after the experience.
