In March 2006, LVMH sued Haute Diggity-Dog for their "Chewy Vuitton" line of dog toys, claiming trademark infringement. LVMH lost the suit because "The fact that the real Vuitton name, marks and dress are strong and recognizable makes it unlikely that a parody -- particularly one involving a pet chew toy and bed -- will be confused with the real product," the judge, James C. Cacheris, wrote in a judgment early this month.
I never knew the "confusion issue" was so strong in these types of IP cases!
May our DOGS never be confused between the toy and our real LV's... oh boy then we will be in trouble.

oh thats interesting! i never knew the chewy was made by someone else. there is a very small company here selling it. pinks.co.nz.
they also have manalo barkniks and sniffanys :roflmfao:

The Monogram pattern was originally designed to prevent counterfeit by Louis Vuitton's son. How ironic. (sorry, I keep having these counterfeit trivia!!)

The South Coast Plaza store in Costa Mesa, CA is the largest grossing store in the continental United States.

come on, guys! More trivia, please!

The top three stores (sales figures) in no particular order are:
Waikiki
101 av de Champs Elyses
Hong Kong - Nathan Road

after every season, after all is said and done (items have been offered to SAs and employees of the company), all shoes are sent back to france and are shredded. :crybaby:

Noooooooooooooooooo A littl epice of my heart just broke - But seriously, this does make sense. I was trying a pair of sneakers on once and there was a slight crease in the sude the SA withdrew them from sale immediately - I suppose they suffered the same fate

:cursing: -is this true, that is HORRIBLE!!!!!!

I hope it went to victims who wanted to replace a treasured LV, not a scam artist cashing in on such a tragic event!!!

it's true, and i think 5 cards were used total. the LV SA's didn't say anything about them because, after all, money is money. the cards specifically state they are strictly to be used for food, shelter, and first aid..
