Love peace Tokyo, sent me a stinky bag. smelled of mold/musty, bag was in good condition but smelled. I could never get rid of that smell, I sold the bag for 1/2 price and disclosed it smelled!

I do a lot of purchasing from Japanese sellers, I made sure to do my homework and inspect the pictures carefully (I also have the bags authenticated when I get them in) . I never had any problems from them, everything I received was authentic, just find the right seller who has good feedback and do your research on them!

Is it normal for the same seller to up the price of an item that "ended" when relisting?
yes, a few Japanese sellers do this...they will list an item 2-3 times and if it does not sell the next time they list it they will up the price. It is retail psychology 101, you see it list price has gone up instead of down and you think "Oh no I better buy it now" I know what they are doing and have bought an item after they upped the price, lol

Japanese tend to extremely over-conservative in grading their items
Whatever the real condition of the items, they tend to grade it down 1-2 points (assuming a 1-10 scale) or 1 point (assuming a 1-5 scale or a alphabetical scale with around 5 divisions). Even brand new is hardly every 10/10 or 5/5 or a alphabetical 'N'

Don't let the bad grading scare you away, look for the actual condition from pics.
I am looking for a preloved Speedy on eBay (there are many!). It would be my second LV, but since I don't know how the style will work for me, I want to buy preloved.

Many of the resellers are from Japan & are advertising the speedy's as "damaged" or heavily used and the pictures show minor things like only wear to the piping. The bags are actually in great vintage shape.

Some also have nearly 100% positive feedback.

Has anyone had any experience with buying LV from Japanese resellers?

Hello All! Back in late May I purchased about $300.00 USD worth of items from Japan. When the items arrived I was not charged duty on the items, but in the mail recently I received notice that I owe $33.10.

I just wanted to update that sometimes it can take a while for fees to catch up.

Yuko is suppose to be well known Japanese seller. Number of people have bought from him. But if you doubt, you can contact Proauthenticators. Lot of people seem to be happy with the service and nominal fee. Someone on here also thought Yuko does shill bidding to raise the prices of items that are too low, but that has yet to be proven. What did you get?

I purchased something from them last year and believe they raised the price on me with shill bidding. I will never purchase from them again.

Brand-works is my favorite
