Layered price tags? You bought your's from the boutique? I have never seen any Louis Vuitton boutiques put prices on their product (even when you purchase it!) even when you purchase it all it comes with are two tags (one with style name and one with what it's made of) and a care/info booklet if it's a special line.

What exactly did you purchase?

My Keepall 55 is from Saks Fifth Ave. in Manhattan and it did come with another tag indicating the price (but it looked like a LV tag, not one from Saks).

Your right Robbie. There are price tags that come with the bags from Saks. They aren't hanging from the handle or anything but usually come inside the bags.

Maybe some LV boutiques don't include them at all????

oh sorry! I never bought LV from Saks (or Neimans) so I didn't know they included price tags inside.

But what is it with the "layering" price tags? When I think of layering price tags, I think of those cheap white (or colored) stickers that have a price inked on them and then is stuck onto the product :push:

:D Layering in this case means one tag on top of another but not the sticker type. Can you imagine LV's coming with the old timey orange supermarket stickers stamped on them???

crap! no im ahhhh when are they going to do this, maybe i should go buy the wallet, and then maybe return it later...i wanted to buy a bag, but maybe i should just wait whenever i go to france, im going to the UK for a month during the summer, the prices should be lower then here right? ahhhh this is bad new :(

Anyone here know when they will increase the price? Let's say if I buy a speedy this weekend, do you think the price has gone up already?

Prices are still the same for now. If it's a huge concern, I'd act on it quickly.

Do you think they are also increasing their prices, so that less people decide to buy and therefore they are more exclusive rather than everyone having LV

Yes i purchased mine from the south coast plaza LV boutique. There were two tags one with my price which read SUTTER $1300
This tag was the security tag with the price if i can recall correctly. It had the bag name on it as well as the price then the layering begins. I purse that i purchased was the monogram mat sutter. I bought it back in september. the line is now discontinued.

I guess I'm going to have to start paying prices along the lines of this year's continent prices. For some reason HI prices are a bit lower than elux and prices in the continental US, at least where LV is concerned. Sucks that prices are going up again, soon a pochette will be $1000

white sticker with the name of the purse, small bar code and price. underneath that, same thing but the price was less than what i paid for and under that another price less than that. I guess you can say i was a little p'd off  when i discovered the "layers"
