I never bought anything from eluxury because I was too young and didn't have the money during the time when they have the website but I wish I did!!! 😫 I bought my first LV in 2009

QUESTION FOR SPEEDY EXPERTS:

Does the Speedy have an insert to place in the bottom of the bag so that it doesn't sag in the middle when you put heavy things in it?
I was in a LV today and a SA said the Speedy was meant to sag. I'd love for it to be my next LV bag just because it's so iconic, but I can't stand when a bag sags in the middle.

Hi. You can use a base shaper like the one below. Lots of sellers selling this on ebay. It is wonderful, does not make my bag sag. They also have base shapers for neverfull.

The speedy is indeed a good classic choice. I'm also pretty much paranoid over water marks so I take extra effort to bring a bag rain poncho always to protect my bag in case it suddenly rains :) It comes in small, medium and large (big enough for neverfull)

I like the raincoats!

For those who wrap the handles in scarves - aren't the handles going to stay light, while the rest of the vachette on the bag darkens with time?

Thanks so much for the info. It'll be a few months until I purchase my next LV, being that I just bought the Metis yesterday. But I'm already excited about adding a Speedy to my bag family. (Maybe it would be cheaper to purchase a plane ticket to Ban Island.) :roflmfao:

Same thoughts! I avoid speedies for many years as I don't like when the bag sags... Base shapers could be a solution...

The first LV thing I bought was a bolt key holder in 2006 when I was 17 to use as a keyring. It was £57 and I still use it everyday, attached to a belt loop on my trousers and put in my pocket. The gold colour has all but gone but it's holding up well.

It is £95 today to buy a new one from LV.

I recently bought the mono Speedy 40, and a base shaper from pursebling.com because I do not like the sag. It is very light weight, and works great!!!
