My 11 yr. old Alma got her handles replaced. Here she is after 2 weeks of sunbathing everyday all day by the window and out in the yard

I know what you mean about the before pic...She is a stunner w/ the perfect caramel patina. Only thing is in person it's dry and uneven color that drove me nuts. I tried to use all kinds of stuff and it made it worst. One of the handle was PERFECT but the other one really bothered me 
ush: But it's ok the new handles are getting there... I used her yesterday and today she is back tanning outside I'm determined to get that caramel patina or as close as possible w/ the rest of the Vachetta 
I've been begging my Shopper to patina. We sunbathe, we rub . . . And until today, I would have sworn she was the same color as when she came home with me 2 1/2 years ago. She's the only mono bag in my life so with nothing to compare her to so I blamed the stubborn the bag. I blamed the amount of vachetta. I blamed the atmosphere. I adore bags with deep caramel patina so I really wanted her to darken up!
Yesterday I was at the mall and decided to purchase a toiletry pouch to bring organization to my Speedy. It wasn't until I was cleaning the Speedy out that I noticed the little vachetta on the zipper next to my Shopper. She is quite a bit darker after all! Yay! She's so much darker, I realized I was an unobservant fool Now, if I remember from the bags I no longer have, once we get past this semi-orangey stage, it's all lovely.
PS I didn't take these to share publicly so figure the ugly factor--I shot them w/ my phone's cam to send to my sis but since she hated the darkening of the vachetta and killed my happiness, I had to find another outlet. Naturally, TPF.

After seeing all these gorgeous Galliera's I'm feeling a bit envious (okay a lot envious)! Maybe I should've bought that instead of a Neverfull. Oh well, too late now.

Wow! 6 years? Did you not carry her much or did you treat the vachetta?
No treating at all. just careful. no rain, no hand lotion, carry on arm as much as possible. the usual stuff.
