Hi guys..im usually in the chanel forum but am thinking about a white mc petit noe for summer or even the white mc speedy..anyone know the price of these bags or if melbourne does have any in stocK??

P.s i cant seem to choose between the 2..any of ur opinions would be great =P

Does LV Aus ever reduce prices in line with the Aus dollar?
The dollar is so much better now that conversions on the US prices are very different to Aus prices. It's almost worth getting an US friend to buy for you in US dollars!

No.

Be careful buying overseas and having item shipped to Australia; due to the cost, any purchase will be subject to GST and customs fees when it arrives in Australia.

I believe the MC Speedy is around $3300 and the MC Petit Noe is around $2800 (these are rounded to nearest $100). For stock levels, you would probably need to call LV on 1300 883 880, however depending on which person you get, they do sometimes provide incorrect information regarding stock levels.

Do you prefer hand-held or a shoulder bag? I would only go with a speedy if you are used to hand-held bags.

I went into Collins Street about a week ago and they had the MC Speedy there then, not sure about the Noe. Normally what I do is take the US price and multiply it by 1.5; this normally gives the approximate price (on the higher side, so you have change to spare!), but it's nice to know the real deal.

Oh... Vernis Zippy Wallet - $1130.

ive sent an email about prices...still awaiting reply. i wanted an insite as to how they work it out. I know they cant change it daily based on the exchange rate. but after buying 2 things last week, then comparing the prices on the website...it worked out about .68 cents to our dollar....i feel really ripped of considering its up to .92 cents now. it seems way too much difference :( im better off waiting till i go on an overseas holiday

From a previous post in this thread, they do not work it out on the US dolllar, apparently it is done on the euro and rounded to the nearest $10.

Best thing to do is buy off the LV website and use a US based mail forwarding service to get it here (cost ~$50) and if you have one, use a credit card that does not charge a forex fee (usually around 3% of total purchase price). You will be charged in USD this way and thus save a tonne of $$$$$! You miss out on the boutique experience but big deal. You will save buckets of money ;)

Plus GST, plus imports duties etc that they pay to bring them into the country etc
No item bought here is going to be a direct conversion from another country because we have to pay GST and any taxes etc that have been paid will be passed on to the customer when the final price is decided.

I was wondering if anyone can tell me the price of a speedy 30 in australia?

i know the price in USD on their website but it will be great if someone can tell me the price in Australia!

thanks!!

Hello,

This is my first time posting in this forum after following for a long time. I have tried to purchase LV from both US and UK ( using forwarding address ) but the website always turns my card down ( Citibank Platinum Visa ). It says my card can't be authorised. Anyone has an approved online transaction via the website using forwarding address please share. Coz I'd love to here from you! :D

Heard that the UK boutique except phone order as well ( another alternative beside online shopping ) as long as you have address in UK but haven't tried that yet.

Due to Oz Currency being so strong these days, I recommend to shop from UK website ( if possible and they approve your credit card ).

Another thing, anyone kindly enough to tell me how much is batignolles horizontal in oz?

Cheers!!
