I am heading back to Aus soon and am trying to decide if I should buy it here in NY, in Lon or Paris (on the way home) or when i get to Aus. (LOL that sounds a lot more exotic than it will actually be)
Does anyone know where the Aus montys are made? And how much?

.Hi, i rang LV last week to request prices for galliera PM and montorgueil PM. Prices below:
Galliera PM: AUD 985 (GST inc)
Montorgueil PM: AUD 1570 (GST in)
Most LV bags sold in AUS are Made in France and some made in Spain.
LV Collins St is a bigger store compared to the LV store in Crown Casino.

Thanks - Its nearly half the price to buy it here (about 800 AUD with conversion for PM) Wipes brow - looks like my Monty will be made in the USA!

Between AUS and USA, u will surely be better off buying in US.
LV here haven't increased prices since last year (i think) but the exchange rate they are using if we compare to US price is so small - around 0.75 and to think that the average exchange rate at the moment is 0.90.
anyway, if u r coming to AUS for a visit u can buy the monty here and get the GST back when you go through customs on your way out of AUS.
From what i've read and heard from friends, it's cheaper to buy in Paris cos u can also get the tax back.

It is confirmed that there is a price increase here, but does anyone know an exact date yet? I went to the store yesterday, but didnt know any of the SA and one of them when I asked said, " We are not allowed to let customers know the date of the increase."

No, because I was at the store yesterday, and the SA said it is happening very soon. And also, she wouldnt give me an indication of how much percentage the increase is.
Arhhhh she didnt want to tell me anything.
