My second-chance Diane came but I’m not feeling any better than the first one. The problem I had with the first one was the seams at the bottom were extra huge which “bruised” a big torn on the leather where I could “white” under the leather. Another way of putting it is the “seams bursting”.
The new piece also has the same issue. Only redeeming fact is each of the “bruise torn leather” is slightly smaller or less “torn”, however, it’s occurring in more than just one corner now.
should I keep it or just give it up already since the holes are not as big than the first piece ?

that would really bother me. it looks like they just stitched it too tight or too large of needle for the thread. def doesn't look luxe.
if it was an online order, I think they only do a second exchange n if it’s not up to satisfaction, they will do a refund? At least that was what I was told for another bag…

I will keep the bag. These will not get any bigger. Any when it starts to patina you will barely see this. The vachetta is fresh and thats why its visible. I think its normal. Even my PA and other slg’s has a bigger hole where the thread goes thru but it didnt rip or anything. I have the etui voyage in pm and the corners has a bigger holes but it stays as it is. If you can live with it, better to keep it. I think after sometime of using it you will forget about this “flaws”.
I have decided to keep this piece. Seems like bigger than usual holes are quite common issue. Mine was an online order, which they offer me at the original price before Feb PI, even when they tell me it was in stock only after PI. So, maybe that’s why they are giving me all the “rejects”. Hahaha…
they initially suggested to refund me as I was not satisfied with the first piece and they do not have current stock. I said I will wait so, they let me do an exchange and ordered another one for me. At least they are not giving me back the same piece I returned.
My Diane has been sitting in her box for 3 weeks because I can’t decide if this one issue will bother me: the D rings for the strap attachment are tucked under the flap. So when I open the flap, it rubs against the strap hardware. I’m sure it will discolor and dent the vachetta trim in those two spots over time. I just wonder will it make the bag look awful? Will it happen in 3 months or 3 years?

I think strap hardware and the D rings will eventually tarnish over time no matter how well you baby it. I see my 5 years and 10 years old speedy B, the hardware tarnish is always at the D ring hardware first. I don’t have experience with Vachetta bags as all my previous bags are exclusively non-Vachetta trims. Diane is one of the first few bags I recently purchased with so much Vachetta trims all over. So I’m not quite sure what to expect.
I am interested in buying this style but it seems to be out of stock every time I check online, when I register to be notified as to its availability after a few hours I get an email saying its in stock, and then when I log online to purchase it goes out of stock! Is it discontinued/will it be? It would be good to know if anyone has intel on this
This is mine , I had gotten a few from online and store for some families and some had returned because of little details I didn’t like, then I was debating beige or pink haha
