for traveling or go anywhere need extra security, I feel zippered closure is the better option than magnetic closure. That's why I normally take Speedy b or Palm Springs mini or Gucci Disney belt bag (if need all day long walk) with me.

That is true--zippers are more secure!

I’m debating monogram vs black leather—love both! Wondering if anyone else struggled with the choice and what made you decide to get one over the other. My main concern is the weight of the bag on leather. Wondering if it’s much heavier than the canvas version.

I own the bicolor empreinte version, it’s not heavy at all.

I haven't purchased yet, but I have looked in the boutique and from what I can tell that is just a function of the bag since it is really a magnet closure and the buckle is for show. It didn't bother me, but I saw what you are talking about.

Yes! The one I saw in store and on a few YouTube videos, that part was sticking out and I’m worried about snagging on clothes or scraping against something and getting damaged

I have the mono Diane and have had no issues with the buckle. It doesn’t get caught on anything..

I had the monogram Diane, and I never had a problem with the buckle getting in the way.
