LV and the quality

Not only their quality not as good as it was years ago, their customer service seems don't live to the expectation either, for an example, I have issue with one of my newer bags, which is still under warranty, brought in to show them the damages, they said they would give me a call "very shortly" - in their words, it's been over 10 days, haven't heard a single word from them :-(

Louis Vuitton has not carried any warranty on their bags for over 20 years unfortunately.

I really liked their DE bags, low maintenance, low key etc, but since my first DE purchase already has quality issue, now I'm not sure whether it's just DE in general has quality issue or is there anything got to do with "imported material" as mine is made in USA on a cloth tag also states "imported material" , I probably will stay away from DE products or try to buy the ones do not have "imported material" tags.

Yep. I made a feW statements about LV that she's disagrees with. She also claims that she has a friend that works there.

There is no Louis Vuitton warranty in the U.S. Ask for a written copy. You will not receive one. And if you are speaking of me, yes, my friend works there. Unethical SAs may tell you there is a warranty. There is no such thing. I'm a paralegal. Ask for a written copy. You will never receive one because they have no legal written warranty. Yes, some SAs may try to help you, but they are under no legal authority or warranty requiring them to. This is very easy to prove. Just ask them for a copy of their warranty. You will not receive one. There isn't one.

If you get a written copy, feel free to post it. I won't be holding my breath. There is no legal written enforceable contract as far as warranty in any state in the U.S.

There is no such thing as a two year written warranty for LV goods, at least not in the U.S. Other countries do have warranties that cover various conditions pertaining to "fitness for use." The U.S. does not.

Yep, post a picture of your U.S. Two year warranty that no one on this forum has ever seen. We'd all love to see it. Indeed, we're all curious as to why it pertains to no one else's purchases but yours.

I have friend that was telling me that they have a lifetime warranty.

Interesting. Can we see a copy? Unfortunately, these types of warranties do not exist, and have not for many years. The proof is in the pudding so to speak. As for a written copy. But don't hold your breath. There is no such thing. Sales people's representations are not a warranty. They are just a way to get you to buy. A legal warranty is one that can easily be provided in writing at the request of the buyer. In this instance, there is no such thing. Doesn't exist.

I'm sorry dear i wasn't referring to you in my post. I'm referring to my former coworker that I was talking to the other day. She has 4 LV purse and one wallet. The wallet had cracked on her but it was several years old. Maybe like 20 or 15 years old wallet . She got her first LV when she graduated from college. She is in her 60s now . She talked about how there is about a 400% markup on these purse and she also talked about how to care for them. I had mentioned that someone had their wallet reglazed. She stated that didn't know that they could be reglazed. I never once mentioned the purse forum to her. She Said that she told that they have a lifetime warranty. When I mention some of the quailty control problems she couldn't believe and to honest to you. I can understand she feels that way. But she didn't confirm. That some SAs do all kinds of crazy things. It's be over 20 years I think since she has purchased a new LV purse. And she talked about how much they cost now

Overall she's been a great friend to me. She has given me a lot of good advice.
