LV Agenda...worth the price compared to others?

I had the Kate Spade zipper agenda for few years and loved it. I love the zip around design so I can put bunch of stickers and pens in the agenda. I wanted the LV MM for over a year and finally got it for Christmas. I sold the Kate Spade one and moved into the LV agenda right away. I’ve been carrying it with my everyday and love it. To compare them, I think the KS is heavier due to the leather and zipper and maybe the extra pens I was carrying, the LV agenda is lightweight but I can’t just throw a bunch info receipt or stickers and zip it up. You can get those clear zipper pouch and put it in the LV tho if you want. The other thing I want to say is that I’ve seen some old LV agendas on eBay, some of them have inks from the ring on the inside canvas, so I am worried if I should do anything to protect from that. I think both KS and LV are good agendas that will last, just depends on what fits your budget and taste.
The inside of the LV agendas is leather, not canvas.

I would recommend the agenda. I have the PM in vernis pomme and have been using it for many years now and it is still going strong. I actually got really cool inserts for it too that I had an Etsy seller customize for me, she even added little speedy tabs to the sides

Hi SpeedyJC, I plan on getting the LV agenda real soon... I will purchase the LV fillers and would like to add customized inserts. Do you remember the name of the seller you used ?

I got the pocket agenda back in December. I was comparing it to the monogram
Pm which I really loved but the small rings I really didn’t think was going to work because it really couldn’t hold what I wanted to and I felt that I needed the year out not a couple months out. Hope This helps!
Does this pocket agenda fit other non LV inserts/refills? I would like a note pad type to carry everyday and I was also looking at the PM but lot of people complain about the rings. This might work better if I can fit my own inserts. TIA

I own an ostrich agenda cover, the pocket agenda without rings to be exact. I used it for one year after purchase, after that I somehow stopped using it and put it back in its box. Resale value is also very low, so 900.00 € not well spent, LOL.

Absolutely worth the money. I have one for a few years, and whereas I no longer use it for my agenda (I plug things in my phone/watch now) I still use it for a notebook and to keep track of things. I bought a wallet pen, which writes beautiful and fits inside perfectly. On occasion I use this as my wallet, but overall it’s a really solid versatile purchase. Ive used the lv insert, because the paper/layout is so nice, but Filofax paper also fits in well. The lined Filofax paper is nice, but their calendar agenda layout isn’t great.

It was from a seller called OrganisedwithStyle, a very nice lady from Austrailla. Not sure if she still makes these or not since my order was roughly four years ago.

How funny, I’ve been eyeing the agenda lately. Thank you for this thread!

Would it be ok to buy one from, say, fashionphile? Or better to buy new? And can inserts be found easily elsewhere (office supply store, online, I see Etsy...)?

Depends, if can save $100 buy one in great condition why not? that $100 saving can sometimes ensure you don't lose much when you resell it.

It’s very easy to find inserts. I prefer others to the LV inserts. The LV inserts (for the PM size anyway) are problematic for me. I stopped buying them years ago then this year got them. I immediately remembered why I stopped buying them. Very thin paper & the whole planner didn’t fit without making it impossible to use without the rings popping open. Interestingly, the Filofax refill felt more substantial, has tabbed dividers, fits completely & pages turn with no popping open issues... and cost much less. Etsy has some cute stuff. I’ve purchased dashboards for the PM & GM there.

As far as new VS used - if it’s a discontinued color/style I wouldn’t hesitate to get a preloved one, otherwise I would buy a new one if you can. There’s just something about a brand new pc & it will last. My 1st was a PM and the glazing finally went last year after 15 years. It can be reglazed though & would be like new again because everything else is good.
