Did you receive the low key hobo? I’m wondering how you like the size. The MM was too large for my needs.

Like debsmith, I also bought the cognac low key hobo, but in the mm size. I shipped it back within an hour of receiving it. Deb describes the leather as having a vegan feel, and I agree. It was rubbery. Awful. For the same price (actually a bit less) I bought a brand new Hermes cabasellier off Hermes.com. If you want fabulous leather, Hermes is the place to go.

I received the Low Key Hobo PM and here's my two cents. I'm 5'0 and it was the perfect size. It wasn't bulky and laid perfectly on my side with all my items in it. But when I adjusted the strap length to where I wanted it, I didn't care for the end of the strap hanging below the bottom of the bag. I also did not like the feel of the leather at all...almost like a vegan leather, and there was an odd smell to it. Hard to describe. The foil stamping on the outside looked so lightly done that I could see that rubbing off in no time, especially with it rubbing on jeans. Back it went! Sorry for the negative review but it just wasn't for me. 😟

It looks really great on you but I agree about the strap hanging below the bag. That would bother me too. I wonder if it would work for me because I’m 5’5”. I’ll have to see the bag again in person because I found the leather to be luxurious on the mm size. Thanks for your feedback and pictures😊

Oh wow, what a disappointment. It's a lovely bag but from what you mentioned that would bother me as well.

I don’t like my straps to hang below the bag either, I find that messy looking for my personal preference. Totally understand that issue 😊

I have the bag in mm size and I’m with @bagaholic1 mine is very soft and luxurious. Definitely not plastic vegan leather feeling. I’m 5’4 and mine hangs perfectly.

I love Hermes leather but find them on the heavy side. It takes a lot of effort for me to use the Evelyne PM 29 in clemence because of the weight. What do you think of the carryall cargo? It’s extremely lightweight. I’d only use 1 strap at a time and remove the monogram tag. The side pockets don’t bother me anymore.

I agree and honestly thought I was the only one who found Hermes to be really heavy. And some styles are incredibly difficult to get in and out of. I have multiple Hermes and only one is really easy to carry. The rest sit in the closet 😂

I ended up selling the Kelly several years ago because it was too much effort. That being said, I regret selling it😞. I’m just looking for a lightweight bag that’s easy to use. I’m torn between the low key hobo pm and carryall cargo. I may have to purchase both ugh 😑!!!

Deb, I’m only an inch or so taller and just picked up the new denim Carryall PM. I’m 95% sure I’ll keep it and don’t see it having the downsides you experienced with the Hobo PM. Not sure if you’re interested, but since it’s a somewhat similar style I thought I’d put this out there!

I hear the carryall cargo is lightweight. It’s such a gorgeous bag!!
I have a carryall in mm navy leather and the sky denim carryall pm and the pm size is really nice for day to day use. I only use my mm for work because she is big.


I have a Kelly 32 and it’s one of the most impractical and heavy bags I own. Besides the dang Hermes garden party. Wow it will wear you out carrying it around. I actually never use either and the Kelly spends more time sitting in my moms closet looking pretty, but I don’t sell it because I know like you, I would regret it 😕

Appreciate your review & photos. It's almost like they made the bag smaller but kept the strap the same size as the MM.. What a bummer!

So sorry it was just not for you. I think honest reviews are so helpful to us all - maybe it was a “lemon” but it also sounds like too many things bothered you. Don’t blame you for immediately returning!
