I absolutely love your bum bag! I think that pattern is stunning and I wish that LV would’ve done more pieces of that in women’s items. Although I’m a big believer in wearing men’s or women’s - whatever suits. So glad you love it!!
I don't understand why they didn't make the flowers the main focus. I think Kusama fans would love them and non-fans would still find them intriguing. If carefully done you might even entice in some of the more conservative buyers who don't like 'loud' bags. I read somewhere the multicoloured dots series is based around a trunk she painted for LV with those dots, but it seems people who don't know her work think it looks like a child's art project and even those of us who do don't find the style "iconic Kusama."

I'm curious if anyone who doesn't know/like Kusama is buying the pieces. The last time I was chasing down a collection was Loewe's Spirited Away collab, and I remember watching a bag review by someone who didn't know who the characters were. I thought it was so weird you'd buy having never seen the film. I guess it's less weird with art because you only need to look at it to discover you like that artist. I'd never buy a movie collab item if I didn't know the film because what if I hated it or the character I chose?!

+1 on the flower motif being the best execution of the lot. I was really looking forward to more for the Kusuma collab than polka dots, it really feels very throwaway and lazy to me. Doesn't get to the heart of YK's artworks at all and is really minimum effort IMO. I know they had to come up with some innovative method to get the polka dots on canvas but I really fail to see how these are iconic YK if you didn't know the story behind the gifted trunk (which I'm sure not many people are aware of honestly). The pricing on those 4 pieces of the flower design though........

I don’t really know anything about Kusama, I just like polka dots.

I picked up my bumbag that I didn’t know was a “maxi”. It’s huge for sure. But I love it. I don’t like small bags so for me it works. I took a picture next to my Beaubourg for context. The design is incredible.

Hi, would you mind doing some modeling pics front and back if possible? I’m thinking of getting this but worried the maxi size is too big. I have the black empriente bag and this might be huge in comparison.

Thanks for posting this. I just bought the kiragami set. I hope my CA doesn’t get too annoyed with me. She doesn’t work tomorrow when it launches at her store so I’m going to see her saturday. The plan was to pick up an order for a desk agenda I placed last week and to buy this YK kiragami set from her if it’s available. Even though people have mentioned this collection doesn’t seem to have much interest, I just want to make sure I get it because I love it. This is a new relationship with this CA that I wanted to cultivate. I hope she still wants to work with me.
I went in store today to pick up my non-YK order from last week and to look at the YK collection. I told my ÇA I got the Kirigami online because I was worried it would sell out and she was totally fine with it. I got to look at the collection and I have to say the multicolor dots and the men’s monochrome dots look way better in person. I ended up trying to decide between the Pochette Métis in multi color dots and the yellow/black Alma BB. The Alma BB won out because I feel it’s a little more *special*but I can’t stop thinking about the Pochette Métis. I feel like I would get more everyday use out of it. I really like the multicolor on the monogram overall. I feel like it’s something I’ll be more likely to pick up from the resale market years from now but the yellow Alma may be less likely? Possibly even in 24S? Not sure.

Between the two. I would pick the twister dots Pochette Metis because all the colors of the dots would be easy to match.

With the Alma BB in yellow/ black, other than black or white I wouldn't know how to wear this bag and to me it's the shape and the yellow screams TOO "pumpkin"- so to me less appealing.

If I were you, I'd pick the other way around.

Hahaha. Kusama Macarons? That's cheating!
You have a good CA. Mine is all about transaction. She just does business and doesn't give me holiday packaging, I don't think she will give me Kusama packaging, never mind macarons either.

I don't know why she's like that. I have a solid LV shopping record "worldwide".

But say, when I walk into Chanel, even though I hadn't purchased anything for a long time, the different CAs always treat me very kindly and offers me snacks and beverages. Same kindness from Cartier too.

Hmmm....after this I'm changing LV CA.
