I don't understand why they didn't make the flowers the main focus. I think Kusama fans would love them and non-fans would still find them intriguing. If carefully done you might even entice in some of the more conservative buyers who don't like 'loud' bags. I read somewhere the multicoloured dots series is based around a trunk she painted for LV with those dots, but it seems people who don't know her work think it looks like a child's art project and even those of us who do don't find the style "iconic Kusama."I absolutely love your bum bag! I think that pattern is stunning and I wish that LV would’ve done more pieces of that in women’s items. Although I’m a big believer in wearing men’s or women’s - whatever suits. So glad you love it!!
I'm curious if anyone who doesn't know/like Kusama is buying the pieces. The last time I was chasing down a collection was Loewe's Spirited Away collab, and I remember watching a bag review by someone who didn't know who the characters were. I thought it was so weird you'd buy having never seen the film. I guess it's less weird with art because you only need to look at it to discover you like that artist. I'd never buy a movie collab item if I didn't know the film because what if I hated it or the character I chose?!
