Jonny’s wife (ex wife?) has made some changes at horses for health website, she doesn’t mention that she is married to army soldier, and she currently lives in Wiltshire, actually there is an army base, probably he is going back to army that’s why we haven’t seen him lately?
I think he might be separated from his wife. He hasn't worn a wedding ring since Dec 2021 (Catherine's first Carole Service). If he is going back to the army (which he might be soon) he would be going back to one of the Royal Regiment of Scotland bases, which is not Wiltshire. I think the info in the media may have been right at one point but I don't think it is now. I don't think he lives in Surrey, I think he lives with Charles like many of his other staff.

Probably you are right, I read a comment recently in Twitter that there are rumours that they are separate, on the other hand in her instagram account in her profile still says busy husband. In the past they used to live in Wiltshire where there is an army base, and because he wasn’t seen recently maybe they are moving there and his job is coming to end in a few months, who knows. To be honest since he joined king I see that there is a change in his attitude, he doesn’t bother to show off.

Caroline's Instagram account mentions a "busy husband" but there is no date on the entry and her account is "private" so no additional information is available. Other websites where she is featured do not mention a husband and she is not wearing a wedding ring in any of her photos. Both of them not wearing wedding rings for nearly two years does sound like a separation or divorce. I agree that he may be living in some type of "Grace and Favor" if not actually in Clarence House. His 5 Scots recently posted a current photo of him on one of their social media sites. Maybe he will be going back to 5 Scots when his time as Equerry comes to an end. Jonny kept 5 Scots very active in social media so we may still be able to get a glimpse of him when he returns to Scotland.

Yes-I don't know why the news continues to call him a security guard, he never was. He was the officer commanding of 5 Scots, who were doing guard duty at Balmoral. He has also been 39 for over a year and some news sources are still calling him a Major. So I think whatever they have dug up is very old. I doubt he is commuting from Surrey to Clarence House daily especially when his wife (ex-wife) lives in Wiltshire. So I really don't believe much of what the news says.

Hello, I'm new, have been lurking and reading all week, and wish to thank past posters for all the wonderful video links.

According to Caroline she has lived "all over Scotland, Berkshire (where she's from) and Surrey" before moving to Wiltshire with her son and dog Piper. That's another thing the lazy newspapers keep getting wrong, one dog, a lab cross, not 2, so presumably RIP Odin long ago. Any LinkedIn info the original Journo got must've been years old. But it's been rehashed endlessly. But by golly the Lt.Col, still looks gorgeous for 40.
To confirm his height, he is 6ft 2 as I googled Justin Trudeau's height, as standing side by side they are the same.

Several months ago I wrote to Camilla Tominey at the Telegraph Royal Newsletter and she replied that he wasn't going anywhere as he's only just begun his tenure. So maybe when Charles became King he appointed him Equerry to the Monarch from that date September 9th, irrespective of what went on before. Let's hope so.

I really don't know what to make of Johnny's 3 piece suit here from the Highland Games at Mey. Is it check or tartan? I think he wore it once before sat in the car with the King after Queen Elizabeth's passing.

I totally agree, I'm sure he has a suite of rooms at Windsor Castle and BP and is accommodated in Scotland. Though the Palace is undergoing renovations, Staff still have rooms there, and ofcourse the Offices are based there for his planning and discussions of the King's engagements. Also he has to eat and have his various uniforms cleaned, so I'm sure the Household Staff look after him in that respect. He did attend the opening of a Modern Art Gallery in London, as mentioned in the Tatler citation making him 3rd in the Top People's List. I presume that was a social event he was invited to as an individual. Believe me I searched for photos but found none! :coolio:

As for his absence the past 2 weeks, well the schools broke up for the Summer, so I would imagine he spent time with his son and had a rest from Royal duty. It gave Caroline a chance to work on her new website.

Jonny's suit is the Royal Regiment of Scotland's official non-uniform "off parade" suit "regimental tweed" pattern. The material is shown on the Royal Regiment's website in the "SHOP" link. It is expensive at 65.95 Pounds per metre.

I found one blurry photo of the art gallery event. I'll post here later today.

I adore seeing him, but I adore seeing him more in a kilt than in that suit. I hadn't seen his wedding ring for ages and I think they are probably in the midst of a divorce. I heard a rumor from somebody on X/Twitter last winter that they were going to divorce, but I thought wait & see.

Someone made a comment that he still looks good for being 40, I feel that men & women look better once they've reached maturity and most people have matured by age 40. By the time I was 40 (40 yrs ago) I looked better than I had in my 20's and I'm aging pretty well. Fortunately I inherited my paternal grandfather's genes in my skin, I'm 80 and have no wrinkles on my face (don't ask to see my upper arms though), anyway that grandfather died at 93 without a wrinkle on his face. I have a feeling that Jonny will age like Cary Grant did, Cary just got better looking and more appealing as he aged.

Ah, thank you! He really is a walking advert at all times for the Royal Regiment of Scotland isn't he?
One of the reasons why I think Charles will keep him on, apart from obviously getting on so well, trusting him, and him being excellent at the job, is that very public visual connection to Scotland at a time of Nationalism.

I do agree that Johnny has grown more handsome with age. I wish I could say the same!
But you often still read comments saying pity his poor wife. She's got her career and life sorted, she's got the dog, the child, and reading her own account of her life, she always was a career woman and not a typical Forces Wife. She didn't come from a military family, and at 5 years older, they seemed very different people to me, including class wise. He is so spectacular, and though not from Aristocracy, is Upper Class judging by his accent and background. Whereas she appears quite ordinarily middle class, and surprisingly short. I'd somehow expected her to be a tall elegant figure to match him, as Catherine matches William, but not at all. Though I wish her all the best with her future happiness and success with her company. ;)
Apologies if this sounded harsh, I didn't mean it to.

It is one of the things I love about him. I'm Scottish and I have never felt so proud of being Scottish. I think Charles knows this and I think he will stay at least for the initial few years of his reign. I don't think William really embraces Scotland in the same way that Charles, Anne or Jonny do. Jonny looks lovely in tweed and tweed is as much a part of Scotland as Tartan and kilts are but I would love to see him in something similar to what Charles is wearing. Say what you want about the King but you can't fault his style. The King is always well dressed.
