He’s so cute with his little hat. Geez, I can’t decide if I sound like a preteen or a granny with that one.

The thing is that he is able to wear it and not look like a doofus. He’s so cute with his little hat. Geez, I can’t decide if I sound like a preteen or a granny with that one.![]()
I haven't been on this thread for a long time so I'm sorry if this has been postedBut here's our handsome Johnny!
That seems like a very condescending and belittling attitude . His "little hat" as you put it is part of a very honorable uniform which is not easy to come by and his is most assuredly well earned. I'm sure they ALL are, and they all take great care to wear it well and proudly. He’s so cute with his little hat. Geez, I can’t decide if I sound like a preteen or a granny with that one.![]()
From Wikipedia, a list of all QEII’s equerries. They all seem to have gotten honors.I am beginning to feel sorry for his family as it doesn't look as if he spends much time with them. That may be what this particular job requires, but it isn't forever. Being an equerry is a stepping stone to other jobs and higher ranks and even a knighthood. I think there will be a Sir Johnny in his future.
I hope you aren’t seriously offended by my use of the word word little for his hat. This thread exists to admire Jonny and men in kilts in general. There is nothing condescending about it and I’m not about to apologize for calling him cute. He is!That seems like a very condescending and belittling attitude . The Lt Col may be getting too much attention for the King to approve of ? but I did my part in all the admiration!!
I think that comes with being married to a member of the military. It’s just a fact that they get posted away from you for periods or you move around a lot, or both. Honestly right now that he’s with Charles and not deployed or doing training exercises, it sounds like he commutes and maybe the family see more of him than otherwise. (Mr Berolina is not in the military but, pre-Covid, had a job that required him to travel abroad around once a month for a week at a time - and sometimes for longer. It was hard when the kids were little but we adjusted. Ironically, our kids are in high school now and quite self-sufficient and now he doesn’t travel.)I am beginning to feel sorry for his family as it doesn't look as if he spends much time with them. Same here. My husband went into the Civil Service when he left the RAF and was involved with installing new computer equipment in two of the ships that were preparing to go off to the Falklands War. There were a few problems so the ship had to sail with the programmers still on board. Luckily they got the equipment working in time for a helicopter to lift them off at Lands End in Cornwall! Never had I breathed such a sigh of relief. I had a small child and no access to my husband's bank account so that taught us a lesson in making sure I had funds if anything like that happened again. It would have been months before he could come home again unless they could hitch a lift on a supply ship passing by.I think that comes with being married to a member of the military.
