This is the longer clip. No subtitles in the way & I don’t know why twitter is labeling it as sensitive content. Maybe they think women would go crazy from hearing his voice?

I’m late to the party here…but does anyone know what is this show so that we perhaps find it on youtube and watch the rest of it?

These are from 2014, pre-Balaklava company and equerry times, a joint Franco-British operation called Rochambeau.

A little reminder that the dashing Major is first and foremost an army officer, who served in two combat zones. (maybe it’s just me but all the “petition to have him play James Bonr stuff” is wearing a bit thin, imo!)

ETA: and here’s another photo from the same exercise. The three pips on his jacket front indicate he was merely Captain Johnny at the time :smile:451E6F36-896D-4451-972F-F674BB967EDA.jpeg

ETA2: the patch he’s wearing is from “the Iron Division” created by the Duke of Wellington and continuously operating since then. https://www.army.mod.uk/who-we-are/formations-divisions-brigades/3rd-united-kingdom-division/

It's not just you. The Bond stuff makes me cringe. Thanks for these photos!

Thanks so much. I'd seen the side view on TW but not the front.

Thank you so much for the Army email address. I live just a few miles from Bulford Camp so wonder if he was ever stationed there. We are so used to seeing jeeps full of soldiers, tanks and hearing the live firing up on the ranges that we just tend to tune out and ignore it but I really should have taken more notice. Hindsight is wonderful innit?

He’s wherever the King is now. But, I don’t know how often equerries are changed..?
He’s such a media darling now I hope KC doesn’t remove him !!

He’s been KC’s equerry since mid-2020 at least (there are pictures of a June 2020 visit by Emanuel Macron to London where MJT is with Charles - then Prince of Wales, of course - as his equerry.) Normally the equerries serve for 2-3 years so I wouldn’t be surprised to see him depart the post in spring of 2023. Fingers crossed he stays through the coronation in May - he worked so hard during the sadness of the late Queen’s funeral so it would be lovely to get a happier moment? It looks from interactions between Charles and Camilla and MJT that they seem fond of him and comfortable around him so hope he can stay. After that, I’d expect a Lieutenant-colonelcy if he doesn’t already have it, maybe an MVO, and command of a battalion.

He already has been promoted to Lt. Col (somewhere between HMTQ's funeral and that 1st outing on October 3rd). There's a pip right after the crown on the shoulder bar.
