Also, King Charles has a medical condition which causes his hands to be quite stiff and swollen, so its not a far way to go to imagine he did not want to risk moving that little tray with open ink bottles even if he had had a mind to do so.

I feel like we’ve done more research here than the Daily Mail (not surprising really!) Like their stating he was the Queen’s “bodyguard” - no, he commanded the regimental guard that was at Balmoral and at Windsor a few times but that’s not the same as bodyguard. (My researcher side is offended by the sloppiness!)Don’t know if you already have this, from the DM, all about the Major

The kilt-clad Scottish Army officer hearts aflutter
Blessed with dashing good looks, he is the Scottish Army officer who is equerry for the new King and is thought of as something of a 'braw darling' - 'hunk' in Scottish slang - by Royal watchers.www.dailymail.co.uk
Great point. Also, King Charles has a medical condition which causes his hands to be quite stiff and swollen, so its not a far way to go to imagine he did not want to risk moving that little tray with open ink bottles even if he had had a mind to do so.

That table! The internet says what were they thinking to use a table so small that it is only good for a TV dinner!
I’ve thought his poor swollen fingers must be aching fom the hand grasping and handshakes.Great point.
from what i read it's possibly more seriousI’ve thought his poor swollen fingers must be aching fom the hand grasping and handshakes.
The issue was William being left handed a left handed person cannot use an old fashioned nib pen used by a right handed person it was his pen in Charles wayThanks for this! The person who prepared the table could've been too preoccupied to realize that we don't set the pen and ink trays on the same side of the table where one will sit to sign documents especially on such a small table.
