He is more often found wearing a kilt than donning trousers in Scotland. And it appears King Charles has been keen to give his collection an outing.
Incase anyone hasn't seen this from a few months ago, the 2023 Mountbatten Festival of Music, with not only Jonny but the King in red mess jacket, and Jonny singing the National Anthem with gusto!

Thank you for sharing the link. I especially enjoyed watching the arrival of the Royal vehicle with Jonny and the King. And it was an opportunity to see our Jonny resplendent in his scarlet mess dress. This was an excellent concert, although ... I kept hoping for more peeks of the Royal box!
I was just looking for something in the RRS Dress Regulations manual and stopped on the "Dress Mess" page. Ooops! The RRS Dress Regulations manual describe the jacket color as "scarlet" and I have been calling it "red".
I've always called it red too! We shall have to start saying scarlet.
