The article in Tatler is nonsense (long may they remain ignorant and repeat the same old tosh), but I purloined the pics! :coolio:

I think that it used to be a much better magazine than now and unfortunately it's latched onto Jonny. I'm sure he'll deal with it in his own way.
Ah yes…. Um… er… perhaps (??) one too many glasses of wine.

My point was that he has experience in dealing with the French and …Finally… in answer yes, he does speak some French. Sorry.

Now if someone could send send some Paracetamol, or a proven hangover cure, I’d be grateful.
At a guess, you and your man were watching the rugby yesterday.....a good outcome for both Scotland and Wales !

No Paracetamol from this distance but a cool cloth to your lovely brow might offer a bit of relief

My ... such lovely small delicate purses! I wonder why they are carried as it seems they would get in the way on walk-abouts and other activities. I think I once saw a picture of Jonny holding the Queen's purse while she was busy at an event. He was standing in the background with it.

Looking at the photo I was thinking what a difference just over a year has made to his career : promotion to Lieutenant Colonel, holding positions of honour at the late Queen's funeral, the Accession tour and King's Coronation, and the oaths of service upon the Scottish Regalia. Now he stands at the Arc de Triomph at the side of the King and Queen and France's President and First Lady on such an historical state visit.
I wonder what happens next for him ?

The late Queen never went on an engagement without her handbag. It's a comfort thing, you never know when you'll need a handkerchief or to touch up your lipstick . I did notice Camilla handing her handbag over to Sophie Densham in France during a walkabout.

We can only speculate based on what we have seen Jonny doing when he has been captured on film. Trusting on media to get it right, we all have discovered, is not a reliable source of information about our dear Jonny.

So, speculating ... Jonny has quietly, within his military career, gotten everything done with such excellence that it has brought him to the King's side as Equerry. And to Lt Col at a young age. That kind of high quality work ethic must be deeply embedded in his core values and will only take him on to higher ranks in years to come.

Whispering ... Personally, my humble opinion is that, if he remains for a full Army career to 60 years of age, I can in the future see him as RRS Lieutenant General.

Amending --- Of course, we will have to continue to work just as diligently as he has up to this point. Someone in the RRS chain-of-command with be fortunate to have him as ADC!
