They most likely couldn't bring everyone to France, so just like Germany, they only brought the most senior/important people. I guess that is why Jonny is having to look after everyone. I have seen him with the King and sometimes with the Queen.

I guess he has literally been eating like a King! It's not like you can refuse food at these kind of events and everyone puts on weight while they are abroad.
I know I am very biased towards Jonny but he seems to do far more than the other Equerries. He has a far better presence, seems more in control and is always totally focussed on what is expected. Even when just standing he watches everything and moves immediately to where he is needed, the other equerries don’t seem to have that way about them. Or do they do just what is required and Jonny takes his responsibilities much more seriously.
There is no way to know! We all see how excellent Jonny is at his job and you are right, the quality of his work is so elevated over what I see in other Equerries. It must come down to Jonny's personal drive and wanting to be the best he can possibly be and continuing to work very hard to accomplish that. That is a rare work ethic to find today. Jonny is a top tier performer and the others may not be.

Is there a chain-of-command structure within the Equerries who work for the King, Queen and Prince of Wales? Do they report to Jonny as their "boss" because he is the King's Equerry?
I have noticed the other Equerries line up and wait for Jonny and do not enter or leave a building until Jonny does and then they fall into line behind him.

I wonder if it's more the hierarchy of their principles, the King goes first therefore so does Jonny, and so forth. I think they are probably accountable to their principles rather than other equerries and possibly the master of the Household or private secretary. Not sure what dept the office of the equerry comes under but there is definitely a whole team of people making it work. Old vacancy for an assistant to the equerry. Could you imagine being Jonny's assistant! I don't think i would be able to do it!

He’s also the highest ranking officer - all the equerries are military officers from various branches of the service but none are the equivalent yet of Lieutenant Colonel. It may not only be that Johnny is Equerry to the big boss (which is true) but he’s also above them in the military hierarchy as well. It wouldn’t do to push past a superior officer

When I say things like that, I am mainly teasing and it does come from a place of love. That said, I do believe there is a hint of extra roundness to his cheeks since the early summer. Smacking of a little less exercise and a little more indulgence. But I expect he will be back to fighting weight in no time.
And honestly, which one of us would refuse him a second slice of cake!

Wanted to share an observation and perhaps a word of caution.
It looks like Jonny's fan page on Instagram has been ceased in some way. The person running the account follows me on Instagram and we chat pretty regularly. I cannot even get in touch with her and my messages are all "unseen". In addition, the Quora account (run by someone completely different) is also having its own challenges since of late. Most posts and pictures are getting removed ( even all the public ones that are on Getty). There were some very private pictures of Jonny shared on that site a few days ago (now removed by Quora) but I know the Instagram account holder had a very strict public images only policy and she also seems to be shut out of her own account....
Coincident? or deliberate attempt to stop these fan accounts? I don't know but just wanted to share this.......take it for what it's worth!

Thanks for pointing this out. I feel it is no coincidence. There seems to be a lot going on behind the scenes - perhaps someone has been pushed too far.
If everyone remembers to be respectful, THINK about what they are saying, and stick to any pics legitimately obtained, and unaltered, of Jonny performing his public duties, we should be OK.
Nothing new has appeared on TikTok either. Last update has been the Lonach games, which I found strange considering lots of stuff has happened since.
