The excellent Kay and Varna ( and Hilary, Carole and Paul) at the Manchester store in UK.
Kay lets me rummage in the scarf drawer unsupervised because we have built up such a great trust. It's a smallish store without the big inventory spending power of Bond Street but if you like a personal touch here's a good place to come.

Sadly, I have also witnessed the curse of rude clients blighting my visits. But sometimes I think people - especially British people - are plain scared stiff of asking questions and the price tags so behave a bit more wierdly than is normal.

Totally agree with Les Tambours! Kay from King Street Manchester is a very nice and helpful SA who assisted me a lot on my searching and gave me very useful advise. The rest of the SA from the shop are all very helpful too! Hope to go back to see them very soon!

My husband wanted to surprise me and walked in last January with a list of colors that I already own. He said that Audra approached him and was very helpful. They decided that I would like a Birkin in the etaine color (30 cm as he told her that I was only 5 feet tall)
6 months later she called him with the bag AND it was lined in blue!!! I will meet her when i go this fall to Chicago but she has always been helpful on the phone since!

I think the SA's are no longer allowed to text or email clients. That's what I read.
