I see that while you came here and looked down on the majority of this community of LV lovers, claiming that you prefer prestigious brands, your post of all the bags you own indicates that you have bags that many might consider not as prestigious as LV. The lessons you should take away from posting in that condescending tone here is as follows: we are a pretty close knit group of LV lovers here, some people save up for them and some of us don't. Some people buy LV as a treat to themselves and that is as high as they can reasonably afford, and that is nothing to look down on at all. And some of us can afford Hermes at the drop of a hat but we don't like Hermes for a variety of reasons, including not caring for the designs or not wanting to play stupid games over acquiring a bag, and won't spend money to fit in to some perceived social group.

I hope you learned something here as you joined the TPF community, and started out on the wrong foot. CornishMon pointed out, and I agree, that attitude is just not acceptable here. As you enter the workforce (according to your posts), I encourage you to be less condescending and to realize that yes, you have the right to your opinion, but everyone else has the right to refute you as well.

I am asking myself the same question. I did not get the same reaction as most posters. I kept on reading like it was a soap opera and laughed now and then. :shrugs:I understand why some are offended, but the OP did not get me riled up. This thread actually entertained me (interesting viewpoints). I love my LV bags, and Hermes are pretty too. :cutesy:

If someone's posts offend or annoy you, please add them to your IGNORE USER LIST. No matter how annoying you think someone is you cannot make personal comments towards them.

That's why I have to jump in. My fiancé is from Taiwan and I moved to Taiwan few months ago. I do feel I have the responsibility to let our TPF members know Taiwan is a beautiful country that has mixture of different people whom have different point of views like any country around the world. She does not represent Taiwan at all.

Actually, I started out this thread due to various reasons. One of which is out of curiosity what makes LV lovers stick to LV despite the negative publicity it has garnered in recent years. But I reckoned it did not affect the western countries that much. So I wondered is it due to the high quality and reasonable price, which is something undeniable, and it made me kind of miss LV. I did expect some resentment, but not as much as some has reacted, hence i think perhaps I should have just keep some comments to myself. I can see some actively in defence and hence i better not reply further on their posts in order not to agitate them further since i know i might not say something too nice. And since i started this out and indeed caused some unhappiness, it's better that i refrain from speaking too much here as well, that's why i suggested thread close, so they can move on and be happy instead of continuing being upset when they see this post. I am not at all affected by some personal attacks made, perhaps these tpers are really very hurt that's why they reacted this way, and i am the cause this hurt, so let them rant if need be, hope they feel better by releasing those hidden anger.
