For people who are saying this price increase is "overblown", you obviously don't live in Canada and are suffering from an extremely low dollar as well as cut backs and lay offs in almost every sector, which means people are likely not to have as much money as they used to have, so now its even harder for us to enjoy our love for LV. Not to mention this is our 4th price increase within a year. I think you'd be complaining about it too if you were in our shoes.

Am I the only one who believes this price increase freak out is totally overblown? I mean what difference does it make if a bag goes from $1000 to $1100? It's already WAY overpriced to start with! It's not like the price was somehow "fair" before the increase and now it's suddenly "too much."

Lol...we are all bonkers. I have slowly become desensitized to the prices. A year ago I would have said "lock my butt up" if I pay $4,000 for a purse. You're spot on.

It's nice to know that there's people on this forum that agree with my perspective. It's true. We are all speaking the truth.

People who are "suffering" and are living through "cut backs" and "lay offs" should probably worry about other things than Louis Vuitton handbags and accessories.

It's frustrating cause it seems like most people commenting on this forum aren't from Canada so they don't seem to understand why we're making a big deal out of it.

nladxo, I understand why you and our fellow TPFers from Canada are frustrated by the price increase and the state of your weak economy. The weaker the Canadian dollar, the more frequent and steep the price increases. What is so hard to understand about that?

+1! Glad someone understands that we should be able to enjoy LV as much as anyone else after our necessities are taken care of.

Louis Vuitton is a luxury brand. (Unfortunately for fans) it's not meant to be enjoyed by everyone. A large majority of the world is completely priced out of Louis Vuitton products. Including me sometimes! ;)

I work hard and I deserve nice things. If I want something I will work those extra hours and squeeze those pennies harder than before. To have four increases within the span of a year is, to be brash, stupid. I will take those pennies and get my Louis Vuitton fix elsewhere.

Isn't the repeated increase in price directly related to the fall of the Canadian dollar?
You seem to imply that Louis Vuitton is somehow punishing Canadian customers. But if I were you, I would be pissed at my government, not at the company. LVMH sees their revenue balance sheet in euros, not in C$.

Anyway, good luck to all the good folks of Canada! I hope you keep enjoying what you love and that the price increase doesn't make your valentine week all sour!:heart::hbeat:
