am i the only one who believes this price increase freak out is totally overblown? I mean what difference does it make if a bag goes from $1000 to $1100? It's already way overpriced to start with! It's not like the price was somehow "fair" before the increase and now it's suddenly "too much."
+1

Good grief...I paid $2200 for one in Noir around the middle of December. I didn't look to see if the different colors had varying prices. That is one huge jump. I am glad you got the one you liked. Are they discontinuing that color?

You paid $2200 Canadian in mid December? Wow, I feel kind of ripped off. Anyway, I am still looking forward to getting the Retiro. The price is the same for all of the colors. My SA checked with an LV product specialist and they are discontinuing the Aurore in the Retiro - not sure if they will still have that color for other bags though.

I don't think anyone's freaking out, I think we're annoyed by the amount of increases we have had recently and that we know today it goes up $100+ dollars, (mine $140 to be exact), next few months possibly another $100+ and so on (we had three last year) and it does add up, coupled with our tax rate (13%). Also, just because I know the item is overpriced already doesn't mean I want to pay more on an already overpriced item. After stomaching all these increases, it's ok for us to think "too much". It's not like this is LV's first or 2nd price increase since March 2015 for us, it's like our fourth.

I am a little stunned by the all the increases. I bought my Speedy 25 back on August 29 and the price was $1,190. Since then I have seen it increase two times (the first to $1,250 and now to $1,350). Are there always this many increases in such a short time span? I am really glad I was able to get my Speedy before both recent increases.

Which ZCP got discontinued!? I heard the round coin purse will be discontinued according to an SA I saw yesterday and the sunglass cases have already been discontinued... LV has been doing some crazy stuff lately.

I agree about LV has been doing some crazy stuff lately. But the round coin purse hasn't been discontinued. The zcw was redesigned.

ITA...it irritating that these products have to increase when nothing much about their models changed. I don't care if this brand such a common ground. But I bet this has nothing to do about being concern about if they are common ground luxury brand. They are looking how far they can go how they feel how far the market can bear with the product new value. Like any business.

But if I am given a survey...I will give them feedback to them that I think their price is outrageous. [emoji58][emoji58][emoji58]

Exactly! It's absolutely unfair and ridiculous and we have every right to point this out.

The Canadian dollar is very low right now. That hundred dollars does honestly make a big difference especially with a dwindling economy and empty pockets. As somebody else brought up, there's been an 18 percent increase in the last year. That's insanity. I'm sticking to the consignment route.

+1 It's a big deal to Canadians. We had three price increase last year which the first one occurred March 2015. This means we had four price increase within a year. Canadian dollar has direct relationship with the price of energy and resources, our buying power has depreciated so much [emoji22]

I see your point. People generally acclimate to the increased prices. Once you're spending $1500 + for a bag, it's all relative.

No sorry...I didn't catch that you are in Canada. I'm near the border, in Minnesota, but still in the States. I need to pay better attention. I looked, and the Retiro is still $2100 here.
