Yep. @Sonmi999 and @SpeedyJC... It happened today... I am devastated. I was hoping to be lucky, but nope. And it's everywhere except the back. This bag is going back and I'm sick about it. I took so really good pics (I hope) so everyone could really know what to look for. I took these in the sun so they could really be seen but it makes the IR look orange, just FYI. Oooo Noooo! I've always enjoyed your mod shots with this lovely bag and now I'm super paranoid with my own ! I got mine at Christmas... just praying that it's a "good" batch[emoji26].
Now it's like just waiting for it to happen..... before I was hoping it WOULD NOT happen..... but now..... [emoji33]ing paranoid:
But now it seems the peeling was not due to "wear and tear".... I was thinking do I need to be super careful with it? I'm sure you ladies are very careful with it and yet it still happens....even overnight! Crazy...
 
Hi all - I returned my new Infrarouge PM for an exchange a few weeks ago due to its crooked lock. I received a call a few days ago from my SA (at the 800 number - LOVE HER) saying that the exchange had been approved, but all of the current Infrarouge PM's in stock had flaws and they were waiting on a brand new shipment in the next couple of weeks to ship a new one to me. So it sounds like LV is aware of the issues. I love this bag so much that I'm willing to try again. I have a fairly new Mono PM that is impeccable, so they obviously fixed the problems with it. Fingers crossed this new batch is good! I do have hope.
Hi...do you remember was yours made in USA or France? Mine is France and trying to see if this belongs to a "bad" batch? Thanks.

OMG this is awful!!! I'm so sorry for you, doll :( Apparently this canvas has issues indeed. Terrible!!! I was so hoping your PM would remain perfect :(
 
This canvas definitely has issues. Found this one spot in the sun on my exchanged infrarouge after using it once. I was tempted to keep it cause I love the color, but was worried more spots would appear. My previous bag had about 5 areas after only using it 4 times. Definitely not wear and tear, just faulty canvas:sad: I live in California so I don't think the weather had anything to do with it. The 866 number and my SA both said they haven't received any complaints:annoyed: And neither have heard about it being restocked. I very sadly returned mine earlier today. :crybaby:

Oh wow so they definitely know and acknowledge there is an issue then, well that's a relief! So far I just have that one spot but think it's best to exchange with new batch to be on safe side.

I received a call from my SA today that the new shipment of Infrarouge PM's has arrived and one will be shipping to me this week. I told her about the problems reported here on TPF about the canvas finish and glazing and she said she had not heard about these issues, but that sometimes a bad batch happens. A rather "non-answer" I think, but she assured me that they are all being inspected before shipping. Here's hoping for a perfect bag!!

I have emailed and texted my SA and she has not gotten back to me. I am just going to call the store if I do not hear from her by end of the week, maybe she is on vacation or something, who knows? I just started using her this past year and bought three bags from her so far. I was thinking just riding it out and seeing if any more peeling starts up again but then I worry that if it does peel down the road this bag will be discontinued and I won't be able to try for another.

I honestly do not understand how this is such a surprise to everyone working at LV, I mean has anyone person who bought this bag not had a problem yet on this entire forum? I can't imagine all the people who arnt TPF members having issues with this bag.

I am taking mine back tomorrow... I am just kinda totally disgusted and still sad cuz I still LOVE it... but how bad will the peeling get? If I knew that it would stop exactly where it is, then I would keep it, but I just know that it will start peeling more and more... I mean why wouldn't it?
I'll let y'all know what they say tomorrow, but I think it will be the same old brush-off answers they usually give. :(

Actually, now that I'm thinking this way....I'm using this bag daily and hopefully getting my money's worth. [emoji6]. This is really a beautiful and functional bag and I don't have to worry about colour transfer at all..yay!
 
I don't have a PM but I have a palm springs mini. So far no issues with the canvas. Really bummed to hear about the issues though! I love how stunning the black and red is :sad:

I feel you on this. After using a few weeks, I was literally thinking that I found the functional bag of my dreams. It hurt when I handed it over today... BUT, I am not ready to give up! I have my second store SA looking for another one... if we can find one, in going to rebuy and give it another try! Maybe I'll get lucky on the second time! [emoji92]

My SA sent me an email and told me to come in and exchange it. Besides that spot I haven't had any other issues. Now I'm worried the exchange will be worse off than the one I have. :facepalm:
