I thought I read on IG from somebody’s account that she had been having health issues..
I was in a boutique recently looking at the side trunk in monogram and noticed that the short vachetta handle strap had edges that were almost sharp, like they could almost cut your hand. The bag is beautiful but a detail like that should not be missed. I’ve really been into Loewe bags recently and all their leather pieces are supple and feel amazing. Needless to say the feeling of the vachetta handle was a shock to me, compared to the leather bags I’ve been carrying. I have always been an LV girl for 30+ years and now I’m just disappointed that LV is overlooking these details on bags that are almost $4k. The black leather version was a little better but not much. Wondering whether people have noticed on other LV bags these details that LV seems to be ignoring.
Did anyone notice that it seems the signature required for all LV orders online is now removed?

Random post, but- I just heard that UPS drivers, as of June 2023, finally won the right to have air conditioning in their vans!!!

I remember reading various posts amongst the LV threads about people waiting for their UPS van, and maybe having not great service from some delivery services (UPS or not).. some will just be terrible service, but gosh, some will definitely have been related to, like, driving through heatstroke and not being able to work their best as a result.. this is quite bad! Hopefully the AC is effective across the fleet now.

This book was the original LV one printed years ago. It has since been updated, and much cheaper than the $250 price tag I paid when the first edition was "out of print". Tons of information about the brand !

Does anyone have a Malletage bag? I would love to know how it holds up over time. Do you have to baby it? I’m thinking of getting a Go 14 but I’m worried about it being delicate.

I just purchased the side trunk pm in pink pearl, and it’s my first light color leather bag from LV. I’m planning on spraying it with apple brand rain and stain repellent spray, but could you share how easily or hardy the calf leather is from color transfer of clothing? Or which kinds of fabric is less likely to transfer color? Athleisure wear type of material? Cotton? TIA.
Please please please reconsider spraying of any kind. It is not necessary and may even be harmful. These are luxury goods and meant to be enjoyed as such. No DIY projects are warranted. After market products may void any future servicing from LV. It is a beautiful bag made with very high quality leather. I believe my SA said it is a version of veau cachemire which LV considers on the higher end of their offerings. I wouldn’t worry about athleisure cotton/poly blends. Dark denim in general always carries the potential for bleeding on anything and everything but light casual contact should be fine.
