Very different look. If you're going for a pair of classic black ballet flats, I'd suggest Repetto -- much cheaper than CL, and super comfortable. For something a bit simpler (i.e., no bow on the front), I agree that Lanvin is a good choice.

If you want the spectator look -- though they are not as versatile as plain black -- you really can't beat the Chanel . (Though I just got a cream-colored pair with a black cap toe from Jeffrey Campbell, actually!)

As much as I love CL, I prefer him in heels only. Chanel flats all the way!! So classic and beautiful.

Chanel flats! Only thing is its hard to stop at only one pair! Very comfy!

But the most comfortable flats I own are Tory Burch Revas! I think I can run a mile in them!

I prefer the Chanels' look but not the two-toned. I prefer the solid black of the CL's but not the design.

I'm CL crazy, but I think those Chanels are just perfect. I would choose those.

I would choose Chanel over CL flats. I love Lanvin too though!

If you're going for comfort, Lanvin flats are AMAZING.

In my opinion, CL dominates for heels and Chanel does classic flats. I have owned a few pairs of Chanel flats but they were so uncomfortable I sold them.
My Cambon flats are like slippers though!

^ITA! Can't beat CL heels, but prefer Chanel flats. Most comfy for me personally are Tory Burch and even better are Cole Haan Nike Air ballet flats....the most comfy things EVER!
