It's interesting. I think it's just like the Novo but thinner (0.17 ct instead of 0.23 ct).

Just curious, why did you decide to go channel set instead of the Novo?

Width and style of setting. I didn't like how flat and blocky the novo was and it was also too wide with my e-ring since I wanted the profiles and widths to match, or the wedding band be slightly narrower. I wanted a Metro but it didn't come in Platinum and that was a non-negotiable. If this had been available I would've been probably buying it vs the channel. I had a micropave just like it before that was just not well made at all, and I loved the look, but it was not working out and I had enough of dealing with the drama so I just totally changed gears.

That Soleste band is gorgeous! Curious though, is it made to sit flush with the band of the Soleste e-ring? Because isn't that the main complaint of that style e-ring? Technically, what is the term for the way those diamonds are set? The Tiffany channel set band will always be my favorite but i think this one is super pretty.

I'm gonna go in with bf next week and look. Going to contact SA a few days before and remind her what I want to see. We're going to request to try this band on and see it in person. I'll post pics regardless but if they have the band I'll make sure I show how it looks and how flush it sits. I ended up not going a few weeks ago. But we're both very excited to go next week :)

Aww don't feel too bad. I've seen that band in pics with the ring and it's gorgeous!! I'm curious, how much are bands in general? Wondering how likely my bf can be convinced this is the one for me even though it's 2,300. Is that roughly normal for a pave band?

Possibly vcut, possibly mushroom. I'd need to see in person probably.

My understanding of that specific engagement ring is that it's not designed to sit flush. This will have a small gap but not terribly huge unless the center stone is large.

$2300 for that ring is actually pretty reasonable for a brand name. I am considering checking it out in person this weekend if my local store has one in stock actually. I would like to see how wide it is.

Pricepoints will vary wildly based on stone and workmanship quality and brand.

It is a long time. I wonder why they waited so long.. Can't wait to see it in person. And yes probably not totally flush but I don't mind a slight gap. If it's a bit thinner I bet the gap will be less noticeable too
