Sort of an update. Going in one more time myself cause while me and my bf LOVED the .7 F he also is super nervous about what to do if they don't have one available. So I'm heading in to see the same F with a G and H in the same size to compare and see if those are acceptable. Eek!! So happy I get to see it again!!! It's like trying to sleep when you know you're going to Disneyland the next day as a kid haha!! I'll post pics to show off the difference, if it is noticeable

Ok I took one pic today of the two together (they didn't have the H after all). It's the .7 F I posted pictures of originally next to a .7 G. I wanted to compare color. That ended up not being an issue at all. Now I messaged Canmore directly but I wanted the advice of you guys all too. Think a couple more of you have the soleste. I took this pic today, the one on the left is the F and the right is the G

Now on the F I see a darkness around the stones in the inner halo that are right at the corners of the center stone. I thought this was a difference in the halo due to size or shape of the center stone. I didn't notice this until later and now looking back I'm worried. I called and spoke to the same manager and she seemed to think I was crazy. Asked another manager and said he saw no difference either. Maybe it was a certain angle. But she also mentioned it may be the prongs I'm seeing. She may be right. What do you all think?

Lol i actually replied to your message before I even looked at this thread. I actually guessed what the issue was! If you want, go back and look closely at the rings at different angles and see if that resolves any issues. I noticed the prongs/corner stones a lot more initially. I can say after a few months, the vast majority of the time, I don't notice the prongs at all!

Also I continue to receive compliments from strangers or new acquaintances on a nearly daily basis 😊

I see what you're talking about and to me it's possibly a side effect of the angle of that particular ring in this photo. The ring on the left you're getting more of a side angle than a head on compared to the one on the right. If that makes sense. But I'd wager there are subtleties in each and every setting they make of this style since they're all hand set and finished. Each one is going to be slightly different because of the center stone, etc. I like the G better in this picture because I prefer the rectangular shape a little more.

That's true. I sent the pic to the bf and told him what I liked and didn't. He thinks it's most likely the angle, especially since I didn't notice when I was there. But that could have been due to being blinded by sparkle :P

Regardless, he saw what I meant and is confident he could pick out the better halos in the right color grades now. So that's good to know :)

Err... Little embarrassed but I think I started worrying for nothing. Went back to look at older pics of the "flawed" ring in question lol.. The first is the F next to the soleste band. The second pic is the exact same F from a slightly different angle, next to the G.. It looks like the F is the same as the G in a more similar angle..

Can any of you even see a difference in those two now? I feel a bit embarrassed. I must admit haha

Im so excited they came out with the matching band!! We were holding out to see if they would and am so glad thy did before we get married this summer. I bought it right before the price increase. Btw, in response to seeing the prongs more in the F vs the G i do see the prongs more in the F. When i was looking with my now fiance we were comparing a .75H vvs something and the .61 IF G and the way the prongs are with the shape of the center stone and how the smaller stones sat around the diamond were definitely noticeable. The .61 IF G was nestled in the double halo much nicer than the bigger stone and the prongs are what made me notice the difference in the bigger stone and I didnt like it as much as the smaller stone setting. And when i compared the two next to each other to see size difference I honestly could not tell a difference there so i told him i like the look of the smaller stone and quality better than the larger one. Within a couple months he proposed with the IF one! Apparently after we had seen that we liked that one he had emailed SA by the time we got to the car to hold it!! So just some advice go in and look again at it and see if u notice the prongs more, if u do that might continue to bother you if u always see that when u look at the ring and know that there is a difference and personality/uniqueness to each of the solestes that make them their own.

I know the band is gorgeous!! It's amazing next to it.

Thanks for your advice :) I'm happy for you!! It's truly the greatest ring (to me) I've ever seen. Apparently my bf did some googling recently about the ring and came across this post. Talk about embarrassing! :P luckily he knew I was seeking advice on boards LOL.

I'm just so excited. Thinking by the end of the year we may be engaged XD
