Looking for advice on selling jewelry.....

AFF takes a while too. They had my stuff for about 3 weeks before it made it "live" onto the site. Not the way to go if you want a quick sell. They are super nice and cooperative and communicative though.

Agreed. And you end up with about half of the sale price. And they only issue checks twice a month, so you can see the time between you shipping to them and you getting your money (assuming it sells) can be quite a while.

Also be aware that with some of these sites if your item does not sell within a prescribed time, they reduce the price by a certain percentage and will continue to do so as the months go on. I am not too sure exactly what policies Ann's and Yoogis has but read the fine print.... Good luck!

Yes i noticed that! Not a fan of that, though i understand why theybwould do it.

I have sold via AFF but like beachy10 says, the cut is quite hefty. However, I didn't want to nor have time to deal with taking photos, packaging and mailing to buyer, making sure that buyer receives the item and is happy, I decided to take the consignment route.

Hi All,
I bought a VCA YG onyx alhambra (single motif) pendant in August of this year and now find myself wanting to sell it. I found out there is a LE coming out for Christmas and I want that instead. I have sold on ebay but I am a little leery of selling something this expensive on ebay and taking the risk that the buyer might want to return it and do some typw of switch with a fake or something ( I tend to think the worst!). Do any of you have a suggestion? I see that annsfabulousfinds does consignment but I kind of wanted to just sell and get the money quickly so I can buy my new piece.
Thanks in advance.
Diane

ebay! VCA sells so fast

oops just saw that you didn't want to sell on ebay. If you do and are leery about fakes being returned to you I would state in the listing "no returns accepted" sold from my personal collection...

I have fallen in love with LOVE on this site and received my first LOVE bracelet back in November when my DH purchased the RG plain one for me while we on holiday in Abu Dhabi --- SO HAPPY!!!
I have decided I need another ---- I have looked at the wonderful pictures on this forum and can't quite decide on a plain WG -or- another plain RG -or- WG with diamonds -or- RG with diamonds.
My question is about how to sell some of the pieces I have in order to finance this new need.
I'm particularly interested in hearing from my fellow Canadians.....Candice0985 and surfergirljen live near me - I would not be surprised if we have passed each other going in or out of Tiffany's in Toronto!!! I even have the same SA as Jen - Tamara!!!
Most of the pieces I want to sell in order to purchase my new LOVE are from Tiffanys.
Do you find that ebay is best? - or kijiji ?(which is apparently owned by them) or are there other sites that I could use to sell my pieces?
I appreciate any feedback that you TPFrs could offer...........and thank you all for making me realize that loving jewelry is a GOOD thing :-)
