even some jewelry stores will rob you, i was totally taken advantage off at Desires by Mikolay in NY-- I brought in soooo much 24k gold and they only gave me 2k... I was an idiot because I didn't know better. Weigh the jewelry, and calculate the worth online, then go to the store.

Thats really good advice. I am gonna try a few chains around me to get quotes and compare it to what i see online. Thanks so much for your input. Sorry that had to happen to you though.

I'd try ebay, that way you don't have to give anyone a cut. If you accept Paypal only, there is a buyer protection.

I sell stuff on Ebay occasionally and haven't had a problem (knock on wood)

A few years ago I sold off a bunch of old and broken jewelry to a local jewelry store in my area. They were honest and gave me a good price. I would suggest that instead of a cash for gold type place.

On an episode of America's Money Class with Suze Orman, she did a background check on goldfellow.com and recommended them as a reputable place to sell your gold. I've never used them myself, but I would be willing to give them a try since Suze says they are legitimate and fair.

I haven't worn the watch in years and think it's about time to sell it. A friend said Tourneau would give me a good trade-in price, but I don't have another watch in mind right now to trade it in for. I also don't want to deal with eBay... any advice?

Thanks in advance!

After careful thought, i have decided to thin out my collection of jewelry and purses. I have a Bonanza site, but would i be more sucessful with some place like Yoogi's or Ann's?
I can be a bit impatient at times, and i really dont want to pay ebay fees.
Thoughts?

i'm selling my michele through ann's because in this case since its a brand that goes on sale I feel like I'd get more money from there than ebay where people expect to be sold the sale items for cheaper. I've wanted to try that kiji thing that Candice has been using for stuff that does not go on sale like Tiffanys.

Yea i think i might do ann's. Is ann's more popular than yoogi's?
