I was there on Monday afternoon.

There were good selections of shoes, RTW and scarfs. I think in all sale events, whether you can find what you want partly depends on what you are after and partly depends on luck. I managed to find sneakers and twillies that I couldn’t find in the stores so I’m happy with what I found.

Like others mentioned, a lot of time was spent on queuing but meeting lovely people at different queues made it so much easier to pass the time.

I was very lucky that I met two really lovely people at the queue on the way to the tills where we chatted, exchanged advice on the goodies we found etc. On top of that, the lovely guy helped look after my stuff when I nipped away to check out some more items. My phone battery died and the lovely girl offered her battery pack to let me charge my phone and also made a detour to take me to King’s Cross when I couldn’t get my Uber app to work! If you two happen to see this post, thank you so much again for your advice and kindness!

Still a couple of more days to go before the sale ends and I definitely think it’s still worth going. It might not be as busy, people might not have to rush around as much and can still find some great stuff!

As a size 34 it was Nirvana compared to the usual disappointments in store. Counted myself lucky to get 2 pairs; Legend sandals in Rouge Tomate with studs and Orans in Citroen. Spotted lots of Santorini, Beach, Thalassa, Brisbane, Oasis and Premier in 34/34.5. Leather trainers seemed to start in 35.

Didn't want to be greedy and take more than 2 pairs. Lesson learnt for next time since the resellers seem to have bought up large. Vestaire is now heavily stocked with "Never got the opportunity to wear them" sale purchases...

Legende in size 34?! What sorcery is that?! I thought that was stuff of legends omgggg! And Santorini and Oasis…?!

I’m born in the wrong country.

I went to the sales on Monday afternoon. My slot was for 1:30pm; I arrived at 1pm knowing that there would be queue, but there were already plenty of people queuing up. I queued until 2:30pm to get in, then queued again for the shoes section. People are snapping up shoes fast! I had to queue for 4 times to get something that I would actually wear. Also, I wear 38, the 37/38 section was like war zone! I was very lucky that DH went with me, so that he was doing “shoes-sitting” while I went back to queue again and again without having to carry anything around.
Then moved onto silks, there weren’t many nice design left and very few 140x140. So I left with only 5 scarves.
The shoppers are mostly nice, often making compliments to each other’s found. I enjoyed the conversation with the ladies in front of and behind me while queuing to pay.
Overall, I am very pleased with what I’ve got, but still regret that I didn’t get the Oz mules or the riding boots.

Thanks a lot for your infos and wow what a great haul! I am mentally preparing myself for the private sales here in Switzerland and I have a little question regarding the Oran sandals:

-it was mentioned here that only 1 pair per person and lucky you managed to get 3 pairs, is it because your husband got one for you and the other has « flowers » edition (doesn’t count as « classic Oran »)?

Thanks for your help

No, that still counts as Oran. The third pair was purely down to luck! When queueing to pay, the lady in front of me turned around and asked me whether I would want the Oran she was holding, as she found them too tight for her! I told her that I’d love to, but me and DH didn’t have more quota, so she agreed to check it out for me and then passed them onto me. The shoppers were mostly very nice, if you see people queuing around you have spare quota, do ask for help!

I think we should call out every listing we see like that. This is listed by Emma in UK and I have commented on the listing

Morning,
This is a delayed post. Finally found some time to share my experience on the sales this year here. I was there on Saturday the 26th, 1.30pm slot. Was there at bout 1 and the queue was rather long. Not complaining much as the weather was good and my husband was with me. ☺ We had lovely conversations with the people queuing around us. Watched some ”drama” too. Someone in the queue brought her Kelly bag and was reluctant to leave her bag in the cloakroom.
Well as mentioned by most earlier, selection was great in general. Especially shoes, ready to wear and silks. Jewellery selection wasn’t great at that time. However, I managed to get myself two bracelets which I am quite happy. Silk selection was overwhelming to me that I had problem finding pieces of my liking. Glad that I do end up with 2pieces of 90X90 and a twilly in the end. I was hoping to get some belts but was told they ran out of it. Unfortunate sight for me as well at the home section.
In a gist, I walked out with 9pairs of shoes (men’s included), 2 bracelets, a cap, a tie and 3 silks. The whole shopping experience took us 6 hours with all the queuingsss. Will I go again in future? Yes, price was amazing especially the footwear. Sharing pictures from my Instagram of my haul below. Cheers…

Most welcome. There were some re-sellers, but I think Hermes lovers out-numbered re-sellers; with the quantity limit imposed, there were plenty of stock for all. Wish you luck on the Switzerland sale! They may have different rules compared to London sale.

Totally agree @maxroxxherhandbags I noticed the same on Vestiare with Aiyisha in UK listing 5 pairs of Orans, Oasis and Izmir that were clearly purchased in the sale on Monday...

First of all thank you to @maxroxxherhandbags for starting this - it was my first Hermes sale so not much to compare it with. I regularly get invites for sample sales from other designers though- so I’d say the discounts were phenomenal! I try to only buy things that actually needed, rather than everything I want - it was SO hard to remain focused. I managed to focus on big ticket items and get a coat -which I ve sort of always fancied. I look forward to wearing it. Bring on winter. And to many more sales to come!

I was lucky enough to be in London this week so I signed up for general entry to the sale. Given work commitments I could only make the first slot yesterday (Thursday).

I am generally happy with my experience but it’s interesting to read the different stories here, because I also have a slightly different perspective.

I am super envious of the people that attended earlier in the week, since for me, the shoe selection was pretty poor. I am a popular size (39) so had low expectations, especially given my late entry date, and at least when I was there, there was hardly anything in 39. I was one of the first people for the morning so didn’t have to queue and had the ‘freshest’ stock, yet there wasn’t much. I managed to get a pair of Buster sneakers in 39.5 but the other choices were not iconic or classic enough for me. Definitely no Neos, Paris loafers, or Orans. Given the discount, it seems the shoes were hit hard in the earlier days.

Silk section was incredible - almost overwhelming. I limited myself to Into the Canadian Wild and Mountain Zebra. To my disappointment, the cashmere selection was very limited - only one small row of designs - but I managed to get a Plumes En Fete. Not my favourite colorway but I couldn’t pass it up - it’s my favorite design. If you have time to pore over the silk section, it’s a lovely way to spend time :)

I may have missed it but I didn’t see any men’s scarves.

RTW was plentiful but nothing in my style.

I didn’t stop at the jewellery as there was a massive queue (and I had no more time, see below).

Overall I am glad I went, but I think it’s all down to luck and timing regarding what you see.

One final point - I am extremely unhappy with the organizers. The first slot was supposedly 08.30 (and I arrived plenty before that to ensure a limited queue in front of me, because I had to be at work ASAP). However, we were not let into the ‘holding area’ for the cloakroom until 09.15. That’s a huge delay with no apology or mitigating circumstance. They had plenty of staff to check IDs and check bags to ensure no theft - but they somehow didn’t have the organization to start on time and could only manage accepting customers 45 mins late? Moral of the story - expect delays, expect frustration, and hope your H goodies soften the experience :)

@maxroxxherhandbags I thought you would be interested to know that I am now receiving threatening messages and "warnings" via Vestaire Collective from user. YS. @youngsun5492311. It seems asking if an item marked 'S' was from the sale has activated the gang of RESELLERS to harass me. I have reported to VC. Hope you are not going through the same... :hrmm:
