Sale update.
I went this morning and the queue was very small and civilised.
They check your invitation on your phone twice and also ID just before going to the place where you check your bags and coat.
I found the sale very calm compared to last year although the selection underwhelmed me.
There were no shoes at all that I liked in my size (37 to 38 in Hermes ) I had hoped to find a leather coat but they all swamped me the shapes were just not right on me.
I only purchased two scarves..
Perpective H (90) and a 140 Beta De N Du Pasquier ( I think thats the name?).
They were the only two that made my heart sing..
I didn't go to purchase Scarves purely because I have many I dont wear despite loving the designs...BUT... I dont have buyers remorse as I have loved perspective H for the longest time and the 140 falls so beautifully with such sublime colours that I think I'll get use from it.
Overall Verdict..
Very well organised, lovely staff, polite and friendly security (I was even offered water whilst waiting for checkout).
Very quiet when I went 10am..but underwhelming choice.

My update :

I arrived 20 min before my session at 4pm and the arrangement was very nice. A bit of queue to get in to the venue - I think there are a total of 40-50 people in my slot?

I passed the men’s section to go to silk. I spent so long there as honestly it is hard to really see the scarf print as they are all folded up. I ended up getting 8 scarves and used up my quota (would have got a few nano if they give us more quota!) I like the scarves selection - way better than I thought tbh! Also got a scarf ring at £95.

I didn’t manage to get a cashmere jacket (I think there are a few wool one but not perfectly my size, all small on me) but find a leather one that is cream and feel very luxurious at 70% off. Also got a cardigan that I like.

Shoes were a bit disappointing. Maybe most resellers are into shoes ? I couldn’t find the sock ankle boot I want…. There is another pair of plain ankle boot that is very nice but it is really simple and subtle. So I wasn’t sure if I should spend £600 on it. I also found a pair of black Babylone that I want but after discount it is still £1400 which I decided not to go ahead given my leather jacket purchase.

Would supplement with photos soon. It is a great shopping trip for me! Staff are super helpful and lovely!

My slot is on Saturday. Do you think it’s still worth going then? It seems like stock quality goes down over time

Matches my experience too; I bought a few things but one pair of shoes is hopelessly wrongly sized which is disappointing and the effort to get to Ally Pally means I’m not sure I’d go to the trouble again. Really enjoyed the wonderful view across to the City as you walk from car park to the entrance tho!

Went today, didn’t see any shoes I liked (why does everyone have my size??) but picked up two gorgeous scarves, Index Palmarum and Acte III Scene I La Clairiere CSGM!!! Apparently they’re quite scarce to come by in this sale. I even saw one black and green Equateur scarf but it didn’t suit me so left it at the rail… Also Forgot to look at scarf rings…. Oh well!

The assistants were really kind, advising us on what looked best and if they had certain designs in stock. However, security was very strict on us leaving each section after our time was up. Didn’t have enough time to look at RTW properly sadly but nothing interested me enough. Security kindly let me return to men’s after the women’s silks, but again didn’t find anything there.

Such great finds! We are sale twins on the IP and what a fantastic CW of the Acte III!
I agree that the staff were very helpful, even looking for things for me when I couldn’t immediately find items. I am not sure if it was the same today but when I went on Tuesday I spotted some SAs I recognised from the boutiques working / overseeing the Arlettie assistants

I did wonder the same. When I was there I saw some people seemed to have only bought shoes including multiples of the same style (in the same colour). Of course they may have been buying for friends/relatives, however, I specifically noticed two ladies (shopping together) who who were really quite obnoxious towards other customers and staff, they seemed focussed on the oz mules, oasis and some of the other recognisable H shoe styles. I later saw them at the tills with 6 pairs of shoes and no other item types

Scarf twins! Thank you, I was so shocked when I saw it! I was sad I didn’t find some other designs I wanted though, and if there’s a sale next year I doubt they’ll be available anymore :( yes, some assistants really knew the designs, I really liked that, one lady was particularly sweet, telling me the story behind each different scarf! Last year however, they couldn’t even tell which size scarf was which and had no clue what I was asking them.

Agree with all the prior posts that there is a lot less selection-wise this year. Debated between a couple of pairs of shoes and got some scarves too. Delighted with my scarf ring which I am not sure why I never got till now. I recognised a Hermes SA too who was so lovely at the silks section. Very few silks left at the back apparently and most are out was what the girls told me. No more Orans or Hs or Kelly type shoes in sizes 37 upwards. Overall was very quiet, I am surprised. They could have definitely released many more slots.

Some of the staff are very seasoned (sent from boutiques to help out) - I was very lucky to have assistance from a few of them. They really would tell you which one is a better choice!

I can confirm that as I also read Chinese and can find those resellers reselling those styles on Chinese social media already… I wonder why Hermes didn’t try to ban customers from buying multiple of the same style and very different sizes

Yes ....I think the resellers all went for the shoes.
I noticed a couple of groups of people shopping together (4 in one group, 3 in another) who went straight to shoes and when I was sitting having a coffee after they joined a table together and all they had brought was shoes...by the looks of it the maximum quota.
Personally I found it hard (actually impossible) to find one pair of shoes I wanted..let alone 6 pairs!!!
Also as an aside whilst waiting outside a lady behind me was talking to another lady in the queue and they asked each other what they were hoping to get, both said Shoes.
Also there was a lady in the queue who asked me "will stuff be cheap?" which made me smile...
I had to break it to her that when it comes to Hermes even at 70% off nothing is ever exactly 'cheap'.!
I didn't see her inside....

They do replenish stock throughout.
There was still plenty of stock just nothing to my taste.
If you have a slot and its no trouble to go you may as well turn up...
You may love something !
Also if you've never been before and buy a scarf before purchasing do check for the location of the 'S' stamp.
I found a scarf I really liked but the stamp was far too visible on the border, now matter how I tied the scarf it was still visible

I do wonder which scarves you bought now! There were many I liked, but not enough to get, but now I’m wondering if I made the right choice by putting them back…
