Thank you so much for the reply! I would have liked to pick up an index palmarum or an Alice Shirley design (some of which I missed out on)… You must have been very lucky!
Thank you! I do feel really lucky with my finds :) and no problem - happy to help! I am also an AS fan and they had quite a few of her designs so you should be able to find some when you go. I saw a navy Awooo (had to decide between it and the Sweet Dreams) a few CWs of L’esprit de la Foret, a few CWs of jaguar quetzal, a few CWs of mountain zebras and also several CWs of the three graces CGSMs. They also had a few CWs of the Zebra Pegasus nanos. I was hoping for more Jan Bajtlik but alas was only able to find the blue Sweet Dreams and some (to me) uninspiring CWs of the Cosmographia CGSM

Went to the sale today, and I just want to share that I did something dumb. I bought an Oxer jacket and realized that the vest that was in the hanger should have come with it. The lady at the sale told me they were two different pieces and I blindly believed her. It was only when I got home that I checked online to see that they were supposed to be together. It was quite pricey and I am having trouble sleeping now because I feel like such an idiot for not checking while I was at the sale.

Oh so sorry to hear that! I nearly did something similar and nearly left the sale without one of my items as the person at the till didn’t put it into my bag but rather left it at the side of the till out of view, it was only when the security checked my bag at the exit that the mistake was discovered. I don’t know how your situation can be remedied but I feel your disappointment :flowers:

Honestly, I would go back with the item, with the receipt and supportive evidence, and push the point. It needs to be rectified as the sales lady was the one who made the mistake.

I agree @jacyh you should go back. I know they said no returns, but there is precedent. I have been able to return something to an Arlettie sale after noticing that another shopper had very unfortunately soiled an item I purchased where the stain was not immediately noticeable.

They're still going to want to protect their reputation, and as the error was not your fault, you should push them to make it right.

I have gone back, thank you for the encouragement! The folks from Hermes ended up giving me a discount for the item, and I definitely feel less bad now (next step: learning to cope with disappointments so it doesn’t keep me up at night )

On another topic, I’ve chatted with so many lovely people at the sale and I wonder if any of those I talked to were TPFers. I wish we had a secret gesture or signal ❤️

A question, does anyone have the Arlettie membership? Would you say it’s worth it?

I had a good experience this morning, but I bought my husband some driving shoes and although they are labelled 42 they categorically are more like a 43 or 43.5, do you think I can take it up with Arlettie?

I should add - I don’t have buyers remorse, the shoes and box say size 42 but they are far bigger…

Any one also going for an afternoon slot tomorrow? Putting my fingers crossed for some good finds.

Was hoping to get a cashmere coat (after seeing all the pics here!), some scarf and hopefully sock boot and oz mule…..!
I have a slot tomorrow afternoon at 2:30pm and I will try to make it (depending on my schedule), what time is yours?

Yes RTW for me too, I want to get there first thing and hope I'll be able to return to silks and shoes after that. Not worried about silks as there seems to be a good selection but I know the good RTW and shoes go first...!!

If you are arranging to meet etc. please use your DM as this a public forum and we can all read the place, please don't give out time.

BTW, RTW doesn't usually go first, hence hefty discounts.

There is a one way system in operation, once you leave silks you cannot return

Had my slot this morning. Overall great experience, very organised and pleasant.
The one-way system was tightly enforced, as well as no sneaky pictures. In my case I was eyeing somethings for my husband and got told off very quickly when I snapped a quick picture of a scarf in my hand. RTW both men and women's was bountiful although prices were still a bit high for my budget. Silks was also a great selection although I personally didn't find anything I liked. I normally like to play around with the scarves to fall in love with the pattern and with people around and the pressure to know you can't come back I didn't feel comfortable taking my time.
Same with the shoes, some lovely options but nothing I was really lusting after. Except some croc boots that were £14k

Overall great sale and friendly staff but I have learned my lesson that I prefer to buy in-store pieces that I love. Rather than entering a black box and feeling the rush to buy simply because it's there at a discount. I've come to the conclusion that I am a slow shopper that would much rather enjoy the in-store experience.

*Edited for clarity

Still managed to get a tie for my husband and a cashmere scarf but nothing more.

I went today and they were strictly enforcing the no going back rule. If you go to ready to wear first you will likely not be allowed back to silk section
