I just got my invite and came running here to see what others are saying… from what I read the last sale was a bit of a bun fight?
Not a bun fight, but we spent a lot more time queuing than shopping. 2 hours queuing just to get in, despite turning up before the booked slot, shopped for 45 mins?, then another 2 hours queuing just for the privilege of paying. Saw 1 couple in the process of paying and they were only halfway through their pile of stuff but already racking up a bill of £22,000... might explain some of the hold-up for others  Though I'm not sure how they managed to buy so much given there was a limit on the number of items one could buy (per category), plus it's not like fine jewellery or furniture was included in the sale, so...:whut:

I’m out in the Shires so bit of a hike, having never been wondering if it’s worth it?

If you like scarves/shawls then definitely worth it, also lots of shoes, and other accessories Like hats and gloves. RTW has some good bits too if you don’t mind rifling through the rails
Agree with this! I’m a big shawl fan and this year might be tempted by some RTW depending on what’s available.

It'll be my first time too, and I'm quite excited. Although I do think I need to be extremely sensible and focus on just a few items.

I'd probably go for a pair of shoes, and a scarf (I'm really hoping for a Jungle Love, or failing that, anything that has a leopard on it (reminds me of my lil kitty lol)).

The invite didn't mention homewares or fashion jewellery this time, so I'm wondering if it's going to be a more limited selection this year.

My invite (from Arlettie) is just a save the date. It doenst mention any products at all. Is yours directly from Hermes?

Shoes for sure, maybe a jacket for this coming winter and as for scarves I’ll let the universe decide how many I can have (lol DH already told me not to bring home 10 the moment he heard about the sale)

Mine's from Hermes.

I’m so excited for this! Last year I got a good haul of scarves so looking forward to more scarves this year!

I hope there will be some nice trainers in my size this year too!

This was my experience last year too, so I will be sure to bring my Kindle for the queuing time

I signed up with Arlettie earlier this year. Last year, I got the email from Hermès and I was able to book the sale for the first weekend. However, today I only received an email from Arlettie, and they gave me the 22-24th dates. I presume I could still be on Hermès’ mailing list for the private sale, but I didn’t receive an email from them for this year’s sale. Does anyone know if you can only get one invite from either Arlettie or Hermes?

Otherwise, does anyone know if the sale items (esp silks and clothes) are as good in the last couple of days compared with the first few days? Not sure if it’s worth going if the good stuff will be gone by then.

I got an Hermes invite stating 20th, so it looks like Hermes invites are offering two sets of dates. I got a second invite from Arlettie stating VIP 20/21. Regular 22-24. Im not a Arlettie VIP but as Hermes invited me on the 20th I suppose I will go then. I even did a Birkin SO in march so I’m surprised I didn’t get the 18th

Same for me, I got an Hermès invite for the 20th-24th this morning and then later the Arlettie one. Also planning on going on either of the first two days (as open to me)

Yes Same,
I got My invite directly from Hermes early this morning with those dates and stating what will be in the sale.
Later I got the Arlette one.
The fact its being mailed to the Arlette database as well makes me wonder if it'll be worth the shlep from South of the river...
I've no doubt stock will be replenished all day every day (as it was last time) but I really cant be doing with a long journey a big queue AND a bunfight inside leading to more queuing and a tedious journey home.
I think I'm getting too old for this lark!
What do I hope to buy??? a couple of pairs of sneakers maybe some ankle boots and a scarf if theres a design I like.
RTW I 'could' be tempted by a leather coat if the right one appeared!

And... Chicmi also sending invitations. I got 3 today including Hermes and Arlettie. Sadly, now live in hibernation in French Alps and Geneva Airport my closest shop.

Sorely tempted to fly back for it since last year the shoe selection for us mini-me size EU34 was better than in store (!) but:

a) not a fan of the trek to Ally Pally and
b) I think my husband would notice I'm gone. And where too...

Ally Pally is practically my home so I'm happy for that, I used to love the sales when they were in the Music Rooms in town (and no one knew about them).

I'm not going. The cattle-calls and the hugeness of it takes out the fun out. H shouldn't have so much unwanted/unsaleable stock in the first place. Nothing worth fighting over that's for sure.

I buy what I want when it's in store, and if it's not in store, there's always next season.

Unless they have any RTW from JPG era, there's nothing I want :sunnies:

The only good thing would be seeing you all there.
