Does anybody know how much the large whale be in Euros? I tried to call Loewe thrice today, to see what the flagship store will get (I don‘t want to drive in when they still have not received the goods) and asked them about the catalogue, but I haven‘t received anything yet and can‘t find the product online. Need to think what piece I want to get, or if it is too expensive I will pass.
Star dice will be available to purchase separately and our SA has already offered them to us to purchase in the presale. However, the yellow star is exclusive to the personalization box and the submarine dice is also exclusive to that. All other dice will be available for purchase separately subject to availability in store!
Slightly off topic but since the personalization box was so expensive I decided to make our own, using the mid autumn VIC gift from last year and a spool box I got from a craft store. Haha. I have to say it looks pretty ok! And we really have a lot of dice that we haven’t used……

I have noticed the prices in JPY are much cheaper than USD ranging from 200-600$ saving per item. So those traveling to Japan can buy the items at good prices. For example, the Bunny Amazona is 600$ different, and with tax will be around $1000 saving. Although I’m going to be in Japan in a few weeks, I don’t know if there will be much left by then.

Lately, I'm in the same boat! I finally got a chance to look at the collab, and the only thought I keep having is "Wow I'm so uninspired". Designs feel underwhelming and the whimsy I so love and crave with most of Loewe's collaborations is missing. For example the panda hammock last year was a true work of art with 2-3 different types of leather marquetry wrapping around the bag on 2 faces. The lemur bag's tail can be hung in 3 different ways for versatility which seems silly that such a small detail matters but it really made that bag special. We even had penguins jumping off of the Loewe logo on a sweater!
This year, the rabbits and hamsters repeating on the bags is SO lazy!! I was shocked Johnathan Anderson approved the release of such ugly designs. I'd say only one third of the collection such as the bunny hammock/flamenco, the deep sea denim jacket, the submarines have that whimsy, but the collection as a whole this year feels disjointed and messy. Last year it felt like a well-curated package perfectly fit for the holiday spirit. This year it feels like a cheap cash grab 😕 At least they've finally abandoned satin calfskin and replaced it with the much better nappa calfskin.
I'm also not trying to bring anyone down with my scathing comments if you love this year's collection! I'm still purchasing some items, but significantly less comparatively to last collection. Maybe since I already saw 1 collection it's losing novelty, or I'm being affected by the economic climate or maybe both! Who knows, but I'm definitely a bit disappointed.
Honestly, Loewe's upcoming regular collections are making me much more excited compared to the collaborations lately!! The super soft puzzle is to die for!!
