So surprised to hear all these TW experiences! I am definitely not a big shopper there so don't count on my experience, but when I did reach out for assistance to an SA in Taipei Nan Shan she was extremely accommodating and even allowed advance deposits to reserve items (not sure if it was refundable or not though), but ended up not purchasing there because I purchased in Japan instead. It's a bummer to hear that, Loewe HQ isn't putting as much effort in Taiwanese customers with the addons though.

Has there been any US-based events? I'm definitely not the biggest spender so I might not have gotten invited, but I feel like we get similar treatment despite having one of the largest mark-ups. I didn't even get a special gift box nor any magazine with the items I directly ordered with my NY SA.... (I did get the ribbon + tags + paper bag) Is my experience just an isolated one?

NYC Soho had a prelaunch event for the HMC drop this year according to some folks in the previous thread. People also reported getting some notebooks in NYC as well.

The gift boxes are exclusive to orders directly on the Loewe website so you won't get them instore - only the packing tissue, paper bags and hangtags are available instore. It's an incentive to order online sometimes because of this, but we try to maintain our relationship with the store so generally we don't order that frequently from Loewe online.

I can't really say I'm a big shopper too - I really started purchasing Loewe because of Studio Ghibli. There was one event for Spirited Away that I was invited to at the Kaohsiung store, and back then I only bought a puzzle bag. During the HMC drop I think I spent around $20k USD give or take...so to have no event and the notebook spend limit kind of rubbed me the wrong way. I definitely told my SA at the time and she said she understood. I don't think the deposits are refundable in cash/credit card, but they offer 'store credit', so once it's sent over to their account, it's theirs.

I think buying in other regions might actually be a lot better. Unfortunately I think it's not up to the SAs no matter how they reflect that to their higher ups. I think the best way for me to express my dissatisfaction is to not purchase from these stores, and purchase either on the Loewe site or Selfridges/MyTheresa.

I think there were a few events in the US for the HMC drop? I'm not really sure about this one though.

The designed gift box is online exclusive, and the bag/tags are in store as far as I know! I'm unsure about the magazine - I never got one in store.

And the Mandragora bifold wallet. First noticed the slightly wonk stitching in store but decided to take it home since I regretted not securing this during the online drop and it was OOS already. Wasn't till I got home that I noticed a strange indentation on the kid's shirt. Slightly worried about any increased friction in that area with the pitting, but I'm assuming I won't be able to facilitate an exchange regardless.

Do you mean the hobo hammocks in the regular collection? I suppose they were available before in the States but just sold out somehow? Hobo hammocks were once sold out in both Japan and Hong Kong (I was in Japan in mid August) but they have already restocked many colours now.

The lemur shearling bag came up as being available on the JP website and I made an order to ship to store… kind of a gamble given my sis is flying back on 2 Dec evening. Totally not sure if the order would reach the store in time for her to pick up and also wondering what happens if the order goes unclaimed. I am assuming I can contact Loewe CS to facilitate a return from the store back to their warehouse…

It’s buried in the FAQ somewhere but they auto refund in seven days if there’s no pick up. Theoretically the lemur would arrive in time - they send by takkyubin on a next business day service, so even if they ship on 30/11, it’s there by 1/12.
Thank you! Fingers crossed as it’s literally sold out everywhere. MyTheresa does have it in stock apparently but it will be full price va Japan’s price (no tax back on an online purchase but it’s already S$400 cheaper)…

Finally was able to drop by the store and collect my pieces!

I ordered the medium puzzle tote, the lemur felt charm and the lemur coin purse.
I passed on the lemur coin purse as I have already two coin purses from the Ghibli collection and haven‘t used them yet. I think I fare best with bags…

First the packaging: my SA was so sweet and wrapped everything so beautifully. It was snowing here, so she put a plastic piece over the opening for me. Managed to bring everything home undamaged! She also packed me one of each of the paper bags. Those are really pretty! And look at the inside print in the big bag - hundreds of lemurs! But I totally love the Mandroga paper tag! So so cute!
I actually in store saw the Mandroga plush, it is incredibly cute, too bad it is so expensive…

Now to the goods: sorry for the bad light, it is already dark here…

Got my stuff in small boxes with the pretty ribbon. Each piece came with the Suna Fujita booklet and the bag with the regular Loewe booklet.

The puzzle tote has supersoft leather and smells divine. I especially love the lush suede lining. It is just gorgeous.
I got the lemur felt charm as I saw a pic with both together and loved that look! That charm is so darn cute!
